"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?

"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Its been a knackering 2 days. They arrived on time on Sunday my boy like many Thais is a Liverpool fan. They looked so young my paternal instinct kicked in and I have gone into protective mode. I was ready to land one on a bloke who looked a bit moody near my boy

"mashed in maryland 3:34 Mon Nov 8 To be honest, I might just be a bit touchy because i have just come out of the other end of this shit and it is still very raw. I cant believe the bloke I changed into from the one I was, I was chairmen of the local round table, was a local apprenticeship ambassador, I thought i was bullet proof. Yes the shit that I had to deal with was hardcore but not sure that means anything, once it gets you, if gets you and it doesnt want to let go. it also DOES NOT understand reason at all. From the outside I had everything, two lovely kids, great job, nice wife, big 5 bed house..... inside I had fuck all. So no worries, I dont have any grudges on here (ok mayby one or two), and dont plan to start now. Just here to support fellow Hammers on there journey to beat the black dog."

"Tom, it's hard work - as every day I'm not at work I'm looking after the baby. So get no time to myself and he's at the age where he's on the move, so it's non stop all day. Throw into it lack of sleep, and you're onto a recipe for disaster."

"Overbuyer, you haven't offended me, you've just come across as a bit of a cսnt, to be honest. If you had read my post, you'd have seen that the reason I had a break down was because not only am I massively sleep deprived, I've gone from being a working dad to being a working and stay at home dad, whilst the wife has gone to work. As I rely heavily on a routine, this has completely thrown me out, add into it a sick child and lack of sleep = the break down."

"""Help me out here, I'm struggling to understand what in that scenario has made you break down?"" - Could be Dont worry Block, shame you have hit a bit of a bump but you have got this, focus on where you have got too and all the positive things in your life. - then list all the positives (see the difference?) One thing you need to remember with people that are depressed, they will take ALL the negatives out of conversations."

"Cool, just that language is important. About six months ago when i was is a really dark place, I dropped a plate, that was it a normal household plate, this lead me to storm out of my house and go sit in a field with my dog for three hours crying. The is no rhythm nor reason sometimes. A better way of addressing it would have not been questioning his right to have a breakdown but instead reinforcing the fact it is ok and THEN adding a BUT (outlining all the positives)"

"Selectively extracting parts of posts doesn't help either. I had no intention of derailing the thread and no offence was meant to Block, but I see no harm whatsoever in adding positivity to the scenario."

Closing down debate - Debate??? You want to debate whether or not people have the right to be depressed.....
