Daily Quiz anyone?
"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

East - I have had Q5 in a quiz before and I think that there are two brands of sweets that have used this phrase in the past. Just can't remember if it was the same sweet that changed its name like Snickers/Marathon

"I really don't have a sweet tooth so not overly confident. Maybe 5? Don't know what Randoms even are, confectionery-wise. (I did OK on the APPLES!)"

"Very generous east. I was closer than ""reflection of the lakes, innit?"" but not much! Just know that pines emit all sorts. Chemicals that clean yer bog and scraping past the tree at Christmas always gives me a nasty rash. (While, that's what I tell the wife it is)."

Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
Geoff P I'll allow gases from trees or discharge from trees. So a point for you and anyone else with a similar answer. Didn't really expect people to specifically mention isoprene. Put my generosity down to the Villa result - sad as that may be.

Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
"Didn't really get isoprene. Just had vague idea of ""pollen */ gases from pine trees"" ( all based on the song, really) So maybe 6. Maybe 5. Depending on Judge East. (Questions 7-10 I got ALL wrong.) * I appreciate isoprene is NOT pollen!! And, in fact, I read pine pollen specifically is very yellow if very abundant. What a load of hillocks."
