"We need a whole new Management TEAM. From what I have heard, could be wrong, but Moyes doesn't take too kindly to criticism and is quite set in his ways. That's not very progressive and is exactly why we can be as bad as we were at the weekend. We need a manager who is willing to listen, prepared to changed, and still wants to learn. That is how a coach should be in any sport in order to improve. Plus a team around him that will be honest with him and that he trusts enouhg to listen to the feedback."

I see Man Utd are looking at Thiago Motta. Would be a good option.

"Could have appointed Noble with Steve Potts in January and effectively given them a four month trial but I can't see Noble being involved on a permanent basis from scratch. Not sure he would want it anyway, In the same way Sir Trev never did."

"yes LJC, the video of him coaching the u14s with zamora and binks jr. I've no doubt sullivan would love a controllable puppet in charge, mark would do as he's told. it's why it can't happen, the job is too big for a novice and especially one that kissses the board's arse"

Any of the recent articles I’ve read in the last couple of days keep mentioning noble. Bit of a worry.

The Usual Suspect. By lazy bookies. Hoping for a nibble from dumb punter’s. I would wait until the season is done to even look. Moyes press conference for Palace might be interesting. Either conformation he’s going. Or more shit stirring from him. Unless there’s a miracle on Thursday. The season is as good as over.

There's defensive and then there's DEFENSIVE. Watched a bit of Atletico Madrid last night and Simeone's side looked like 1970s Brazil compared with Moyes's latest offerings.

"Abel Ferreira's style of play is basically Moyes for the modern day: https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/abel-ferreira-palmeiras-2021-tactical-analysis-tactics-2#:~:text=Ferreira%20likes%20his%20side%20to,risk%20of%20being%20played%20through. It's a long read but in summary: - Don't press high but largely drop off to half way - Gradually increase defensive pressure more than get to half way and into their half - Overload with bodies centrally - Big focus on direct counter attack - Most headed goals in the league - One of the most direct at passing - Sub 50% possession stats - Narrow wingers, focus on overlap from full back - Described as ""passive defensively"". Yes, the guy has been successful in a league that is not the most competitive in the world, and yes it would probably make for a smooth transition as it wouldn't be a total 'tear up the script' situation, but reading that very detailed article it was like someone had gone overboard technical on Moyes and West Ham. I'll pass."

If TS is in Brazil hopefully he is securing the services of Andre from Fluminense… would soften the blow of losing Paqueta.

"Never heard of this Ferreira bloke, had to google him but a look at Wiki doesnt tell you much apart from his stats which look ok especially in Brazil where he won 2 titles with Palmeiras, but i know fuck all about the league, the club or standard? Sure, plenty of good Brazilian players but seems if they are any good, they don't actually play in Brazil! Portugues national and youngish but im not sure the likes of Sullivan would be up for this? Would be a punt, but would rather we did that than someone like Mourinho, whom i like but does seem to be on a downward trajectory, not to mention the similar type of football to Moyes!!!"

LJC. The guy have won everything going at club level in Brazil. And Copa Libertadores twice.! If we don’t go for him now. Then we most likely can forget about it. Also he will most likely end back up at Sporting. When the Red Scouse hire Amorim.? With all the names being banded around. This would be a real coup.!

"RB - can’t say I know too much about him apart from doesn’t he allow the other team to have the ball all the time? From someone that doesn’t know about him, why do you say yes please?"

"We need someone who has the players respect and can motivate them. Managers that have a positive philosophy and are not looking for excuses or feeding negativity to the squad. There are some very good managers around. It's clear we are at the end of an era and the squad needs a big rebuild as it's too old and too thin. It's regressing fast and despite the trophy last year against mainly weak opposition, league form and actual positive performances have been very thin on the ground. There are a few high profile managers who have failed first time round in the Premier league but are still proving to be decent managers. Really like what Unai Emery has done at Aston Villa, Marco Silva also has a style I like but it didn't work out at Hull, Watford or Everton. I think it could work for Tuchel at another club that isn't stuck with aging superstars he has to pick. I also like Thomas Frank - an honest, positive manager whose side is positive on the pitch even without the budget or quality to always compete. What could he do with better players in his systems?"

The Hornchurch Massive has been on YT saying Tim is not only in Brazil eyeing up the talent. But might be also trying to sweet talk Palmeriras manager Abel Ferreira. That’s a big YES FUCKING PLEASE.!

"Nagel 12:33 Tue Apr 16 Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea fans have all asked me, at some point, why the majority of West Ham fans want Moyes gone. They spout the same thing, won a Euro cup, no relegation, 7th in the league. I have tried to explain as briefly as possible but none of them really get it. So it leads me to say ""Look, if you picked up the paper tomorrow and it reported he was coming to you, then how would you feel?"" Generally they say ""Fuck off, no thanks"" and that leads me nicely to say ""So that's my point"". The bigger picture is that West Ham are currently in an identity crisis. Lots of other fans, pundits and ex-pro's see us as plucky ol' West Ham but we see ourselves differently and want to be seen by others differently. Danny Murphy once spouted ""West Ham fans need to step back. Usually battling relegation and winning nothing. They have a manager that's won them a trophy and has then in 7th"". But he is looking at us from his Ivory Tower. It's really an issue about status and perspective. And in a nut shell comes down to people saying ""Who do you think you lot are?"""
