Really agitated by Orford leaving. Why on earth do we hardly ever see any of our youth prospects make it to become a first team regular?

It was reported that Man Utd wanted Mazraoui but had to sell AWB first. Then I heard we were in for Mazraoui. I wonder if Steidten wanted Mazraoui all along and the AWB link was just to stall Man Utd? If it was it was a masterstroke. But probably more just luck and coincidence.

Mazraoui has missed 79 games through injury in the last 4 seasons apparently.

Ludo I think it sounds like that was the case a few years ago and he has slipped behind a couple of the others now. Can’t say I’ve seen a lot of them so can’t really comment. It’s just what I’ve read.

He's a life long Hammer (so is his whole family) and is a great prospect. There should be questions asked if he's not willing to sign a contract with us.

I don’t think we were offering Orford a new contract (for some reason) and Villa was sniffing around anyway. If that’s the case then it makes a bit more sense.

Apparently AWB turned us down and Mazraoui is comfortable at LB as well. Sounds like a cheap deal to me. I know there are injury concerns but looks like he was playing with an injury and making it worse when he should have got it seen too.
