One more season here and Moyes will make Avram Grant seem like Brian Clough

"I know there was a bit of an uproar at the time, but I literally didn't give a shit about how we sacked Grant. I was fuming that he got us relegated."

When they sacked Avram Grant in the tunnel at Wigan didnt Lady Brady want to not let him on the team coach? Classy lot Hopefully the decision has been made and will be announced before the last home game. I believe Moyes deserves a proper send off at the last home game v Luton on May 11 Most will want to acknowledge what he has done ...and to know that he IS going Suspect season ticket renewals will spike once that is announced

"Letting him complete the term of his contract seems fair to me. I even think he is being allowed to present things as him feeling its time to move on and reaching an agreement with the coub to do so. That is what we used to call a “soft landing” back when I was working ( Victorian age :-) ) He has failed in the league last 2 years if tye measure of making European places was deemed a success the previous 2 seasons. That is what we are told. Yes he got us in this season. Ia conf league cup win but the real measure is always league form. 6th, 7th, 14th and I suspect 13th or possibly 12th in spite of a large transfer spend over his tenure. An overarching decline."

"Allowing him to complete his contract is more classy than sacking him, don't you think? Very few managers reach the end of their contracts."

At least there are only four weeks to go until Lady Brady marches into the dressing room at the Etihad with Moyes's P45 in hand... such a classy football club aren't we.

Cowdenbeath? All their gaffer has to say is “get it together boys or it’s gonna be Moyes talking to you next season not me”.

What happened to the Lopetegui rumours? Didn’t he turn down Palace because he wants our job?

Correction: 24 points! He also managed to get knocked out early from the FA cup and League cup by Burnley and Southampton respectively. Good season that! I suppose Cowdenbeath could ask the ginger Jock to get them promotion from the Scottish Lowland League.

Nagel Moyes followed Allardyce and had the whole 16/17 season to destroy Sunderland with a shocking 23 points total. That poor club have still not recovered from Moyesball.

If we employed a player or manager who was beyond our pay grade how long could we keep them for?

"""When he leaves, I’m curious who’d be fool enough to hire him"" I expect that he'll end up like Allardyce after he left us, and specialise in joining relegation threatened clubs who've sacked their manager mid-season."

"If it’s genuinely down to Steidten, I trust in whoever he picks, I just hope whoever they are they’re given enough patience to build a decent squad playing in a much better way because honestly in over 50 years supporting this club I’ve never been so disappointed in what Moyes has turned it into."

"I don't see Sullivan getting rid of Moyes. He's had three straight years of european football with a trophy and three years of relative safety in the league (I know last year we could have been in a relegation scrap fairly easily but we weren't ). This is easily the most successful manager Sullivan has employed, and you could argue for some time before him as well. The only way I believe Moyes isn't here next year is if he retires. He knows the board won't sack him here, and he'll get another decent payday if he so chooses. Should he walk, it isn't going to be some up and coming manager. It will be well-worn ground, likely someone successful 10-15 years ago who couldn't get a job anywhere else in the league and will put up with our dysfunctional transfer business. I'd expect Rafa Benitez to be nailed on for that. We'll keep plodding along as we have since Sullivan arrived. If the board had any ambition, they would have made moves last season and the year before to try a push for champions league but elected to sit on their hands."

"I still think it'll be Marco Silva or Fonseca. or Rafa ;) i'm not the biggest fan of Fonseca, but i'd take him over another season of Moyesball."

Fonseca is a salthouse client . Which no doubt suits the dwarf. It will probably be someone like Alexander blesin . if it is genuinely left to steitden. And I suspect it will be .

West Ham are looking for a Coach. Not a Manager. Jose started off as a Coach. But now see himself as a Manager. This is why the likes of Tuchel and Conte end up having massive falling outs with the boards that employ them. The clubs feel they are getting a top quality coach. However. The employee goes in thinking they are a manager. It’s a very costly/ enriching experience.
