Daily Quiz anyone?

Post easthammer »

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"I read somewhere that with a True or False quiz, the majority of the answers will be true, because it takes longer to make answers up! This is the time to see if that is true!"

7 for me. My childhood WWII obsession helps sometimes. The Croatian militia were called the Ustashe and were utter murderous bastards.

Can't believe rationing lasted THAT long. Thought it was 1950. Possibly explains why my mum still goes mental for CAKES!

"4 today. Went a bit haywire on rationing and Hitler dates, Croatia and Truman. Monty (sorry!) and Donitz I would never have got. For 5, though, was not the surrender actually signed earlier in the day? But ""hostilities would cease"" at midnight end of 8th - when it would already be 9th in Moscow. Small point. Time zone is the answer, ultimately."

I knew 9 because I read a novel that had a long flashback to WWII in the country concerned. It wasn't really a puppet as the Nazis didn't have to organise anything much. The local militia made the Waffen SS look like pusscats. They built their own death camps and spicialised in massacreing entire towns and villages.
