General Election - July 2024
This appears to be the rumour on Sky. An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats. The Country needs a change but is it going to get one? The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

"Same old arguments every 4 or 5 years, Labour this, Tories that, time some of you realised they don't give a fuck about any of you and it's time that the electorate learnt to break the wheel. But they won't"
Re: General Election - July 2024
"From fullfact.org The Facebook post says the government was “taken to court” by Mr Starmer, when in fact six people seeking asylum took the government to court. Mr Starmer was a barrister representing five of the six, alongside other legal professionals. The court case Mr Starmer was involved in challenged Section 55 of the then-Labour government’s Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002, which permitted the Home Office to refuse financial support or accommodation to asylum seekers if the Home Secretary was “not satisfied that the claim [for asylum] was made as soon as reasonably practicable after the person’s arrival in the United Kingdom”. On behalf of his clients, Mr Starmer argued that this refusal of support breached the European Convention on Human Rights. The court ruled in their favour, meaning that the government had a duty to provide accommodation and financial assistance to asylum seekers at risk of destitution, regardless of how long after arrival in the UK their claim was made. As a barrister for this case, Mr Starmer was instructed by the solicitors firms Ben Hoare Bell and Clore & Co and The Refugee Legal Centre, meaning he was acting for different clients. Other solicitors also took part in the case, representing the same and other asylum seekers."

"Oh and just to add about Sir Kier, if he can cause that absolute clusterfuck in his own field of expertise, what will he do managing the rest of the issues this country has?"

"True raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, but then the reason those blue cunts got in from it being a Labour government was because of a complete ineptitude by them as well........infact we've been warned time and time again and the red & blue knuckle draggers need to snap out of their party political brainwashing. Now's a good time......we've tried ALL options and now we need a better set of politicians to vote for. How do you do this? By being too ashamed to put your tick against any of them.....turn out but leave it blank......"

"Ok if we are in the mood for character assassination what about this alleged beauty.....or is it all true? ""In 2003 the Labour party was taken to court by a lawyer who demanded ILLEGAL immigrants get benefits. He won the case and this laid the ground for today's scandal of hotel and benefits for ILLEGAL migrants. The lawyer who won this case was Sir Kier Starmer."" You can't vote for either main parties as they are both fuck ups in the making AND we've been warned....."

A ‘gent’ who is going to spend the next few months trying to get Trump elected. Decides not to stand as a candidate to become an MP …. losing 7 times will do that to you

"Yes, after 14 years of inaction they are trying to get these settled before the election Any chance of paying attention to the water (& shit) companies finally & jailing some of those execs & the ministers who have done nothing? I guess it’s July because don’t want to leave it too far into the summer when the ARMADA of boats keep arriving & no flights go to deepest darkest Africa"

Re: General Election - July 2024
It’s a done deal Horizon Blood It’s all coming out. Scandals across multiple governments will be settled so Starmer starts with a clean slate. He is a Davos man and will be PM What is interesting through is what happens to Corbyn…. Bloke has never had a job outside the public purse and is a multimillionaire off public money which goes against his socialist standpoint. Will the people of Islington North vote for him? He has been their MP for most of the voters lives so this is the real test of the cult of Corbyn - has he really been working tirelessly for his constituents and used the 45yrs in the role to build trust and relationships of has he been feathering his nest and caring more about Northern Islam and the Middle East. If he gets in as an independent then he is doing his job as a constituent MP If he does get voted in then the voters reject him and are labour led not Corbyn led

"Galloway is a terrorist supporting scumbag Farage is a gent,if you want to slag someone on the right try Tommy Robinson who is thick as shit"
Re: General Election - July 2024
Nigel Farage is an opportunist and will do what is best for himself. That being whatever part of the Trump campaign he might wangle. George Galloway is the other cheek of the same arse.

I can see Galliway maybe getting a seat no way would Farage gave got one standing as a reform.candidate. I imagine he isn't sending again to avoid humiliation of getting beat by another comic candidate dressed as a sea creature.

Re: General Election - July 2024
I was surprised when I heard Niknak had called an election for Jul 4th. I thought he wanted to cling on like an unwanted dingleberry. But then I heard that Farage was planning for an autumn election and Galloway has started to make real traction. I reckon the tories realised they are going to lose anyway and agreed with Laba to get it over with to prevent Galloway and/or Farage getting seats in Parliament and upsetting the WEF uniparty apple cart.
