"surface, well it seems you watched through the lense of some weird incel, no one threatens to rape her, most of the men die fighting it giving her time to run away, perhaps watch it again and concentrate"

"Mr Anon I was commenting from memory on a film I'd watched a day or two previously. I wasn't desperately watching for one line that could save me from the embarrassment of having commented on a film I hadn't even watched yet. So, apart from one line, which his later actions completely repudiate, every single male character is evil or oppressive, including the brother."

"who cares what it was before or after, you literally said ""and not a single brave said, 'Let's give her a chance, she's actually quite good' when that exact thing happens but of course what you meant is an ever changing landscape which will always prove you right till you wear your opponent out through boredom"

"Lee Trundle I've never watched a Predator film before, so I have no idea. But your description seems very precise, so I'm sure it would have been a jolly good trap if that film hadn't been made 35 years ago."

"Do you find the original one woke, Surface? I only ask because the two who are the first to die are the only members who are white natural-born US citizens. And their leader was an Austrian immigrant."

"Anon. That's before he sent her home and killed the lion (or whatever it was), taking all the the credit, without telling anyone she had fatally weakened it for him, right? I know it's tricky for you Anon, but do you understand that through the medium of storytelling in general and cinema in particular it s possible to say, 'all men are bad', without actually using the words, 'all men are bad'. As I said in my first post, I enjoyed it, but it was woke as fuck. Just because the woke is a bit more subtle than elsewhere doesn't mean it isn't woke. How's the transition coming along, hun?"

"I watched the Eiger Sanction on iPlayer yesterday. The BBC deemed it so unawake that it had to putt a warning on how un woke it was. ""Contains discriminatory language which some may find offensive."" Attracted me to it and I like Clint Eastwoord's 70s movies. Great climbing footage."

"Watch "" The Last Duel"" on Saturday. Obvious massive wokery going on but quite a satisfying film as it had a decent amount of sex and violence amongst the woke stuff. Kind of a film for all. The American actors felt wrong in a French tale though."

Watched The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent on the plane last week and really enjoyed it. Just a film taking the piss out of itself and Nick Cage doing the same.

"Anon Every single male character was evil or an oppressor of women of some sort. Including her own brother. Every single one. Not a single Froggie said, 'Hey, let's not rape or kill her' and not a single brave said, 'Let's give her a chance, she's actually quite good' That's woke, buddy. It's the Patriarchy, innit? Silly virtue-signalling person."

"Prey was very good , ""woke"" where was it highlighting injustice .Girl was a tracker and a good one which was not uncommon in them days , I suppose Pochahontas is woke now by some damn pushy women and forced on us by Disney . The fact after every fight the Predator had which was quite a lot(The Bear fight was Great ), it was in pretty bad shape so not unrealistic she could win. It opens more Predator spin offs , how about one in south London , gets hooked on craft Ale and Weed as no one to fight , crush the odd idiot on a moped . They would have to come and rescue him and put him through Rehab ."

Anon. I haven’t yet seen Prey. And certainly not paying Disney for the privilege. My comments was a dig at Hollywood who hide behind a half decent writer (Cameron.) Piss on any IP it owns. Moan’s about failing revenue. (When 80% of your paying customers are 15-40 year old males.) Then has the gall to blame it on the same people who pay for it.! Disney/Fox couldn’t have thought too highly of it. By not giving it a theatrical release. I mean. It couldn’t have been worse than the last Predator movie.?

Anon missed the bit where every single male in the film is evil and actively trying to oppress or kill her. Even her brother. Of course they ALL get their just desserts.

"RBShorty Watched it yesterday, she didn't really seem like a Mary Sue, she gets bested early in the film and they set up she just observant and learns quick. I get wound up by a a lot of movies anti male narrative too but Prey seemed fine. Besides, she'd be a Mary Sioux get it right"
