NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: 2016 NFL Season
"AKA ERNIE 2:34 Sun Mar 13 We won that division with Tim Tebow that's how dominant we've been over the last 5 years since Elway took over. They have talented players but it's about bringing them together as a unit, I don't think Del Rio's capable of that. Plus the majority of our defense is still there minus Jackson and Trevathan with Ware restructuring his deal yesterday."

"Miike, that's a relief. I know Washington's on the up but that would be a major statement if you nicked him. There should be a bit more cash around in Seattle anyway with BeastMode off the payroll."

"OCGS, i think it's just him and his agent pushing for a better deal. i can't see him leaving them or us being able to afford him unfortunately"

"crystal falace 1:36 Thu Mar 10 We didn't have a QB last year either :-) In all seriousness though it'll take some superb coaching to get our current roster back challenging again next season. Division will be tougher for a start cos all three of the Raiders, Chiefs and Chargers have improved. Gutted to lose Jackson, think Os, CJ and Trevathan can be easily replaced, not with Sanchez though. Actually think the Sanchez trade is bait to use to get Kaep but we'll see."

"Miike, what are you hearing on Kam? I know that he thinks he should be on a much improved contract, but is it all kicking off again? Major piece of the Seahawks jigsaw, shiit!"

"I think you're right. After years and years in the wilderness, Brees really turned the team around, and you always want a hero to be able to leave on their own terms if possible."

El Scorchio 3:04 Thu Mar 10 New Orleans are okay with being bad. I think they would take that over dishonouring the guy that gave them their moment of goodness. My read from distance of course.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
"The other team would have to take on his cap number or work out an extension, I believe. His wages will make a trade very difficult, and at his age he's liable to fall off a cliff in terms of performance in the very near future. Doubt anyone who has the cap space to start with would think it's a worthwhile investment to take him on and lose a high draft pick. It's probably most likely he'll just get cut at some point rather than traded, there will be no shortage of suitors to take him on a short term deal through free agency."

"Can't have him on the cap at that price, but to extend him may leave theme xposed in future years if/when he has a peyton manning type drop off"

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Not sure how it would work in a trade but his cap number is around $30M this year. Going to give him an extension to stretch that out.

"im sure there would be multiple teams who think they just need that ""elite"" QB to get them over the hump. not sure if Brees is one of the top top QBs any more though, seemed he had a lot of stats in garbage time last year."

"Irons, Do you think its about time to think about trading Brees for a first round pick? start rebuilding your team now as their is very little chance anything is going to happen before he retires anyway"

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Wish I could get excited but I follow the Saints who are jettisoning probowl O linemen and little else.
Re: 2016 NFL Season
Good to see the 49ers with all their cap space making early waves in Free Agency. Useless bastards.

"Jackson signed a huge deal with the Jags, think 2 of their 3 linebackers are free agents not sure if they have gone yet. CJ Anderson will be leaving"
