Daily Quiz anyone?

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

For Q10 Barnabas you could have Barsabas or Barsabbas as they could all be one in the same. Mathais is the most likely choice. If you want to claim it was Paul I will even accept that as there is a school of thought that whilst either Barsabas or Mathais were the choice of the other 11. Paul was God's choice. So you can have a point for any of those mentioned above

"5 also, I think. The TV question is rather imprecise. TV where? The USA (and many other nations) would have had adverts before the UK. That said, I have a vague recollection of hearing what it was in the UK... which may or may not be correct."

Pee Wee I put your answers to q1 and q3 before the appeals panel and unfortunately they rejected your appeal. Reasons being One of the panel had flown to the US a year earlier in1993 and had seen Greenland for themself. On the other question they stated that technically I had not written it but that I had typed it ectronically. I am sure you are disappointed with the outcome but I hope that won't deter you from trying to add to the 5 points awarded in future rounds. Good luck

9 or 10 if you get a bonus for the theme. Eric the Red and White Dwarf were good huches; Black Mountains (Snowy were only Australian mountains I could remember) less so.
