Daily Quiz anyone?

Post easthammer »

"If you are stuck at home and bored like me. How about exercising the old grey cells? I have for a number of years run quiz nights and couple of times a year. I was due to do one tomorrow which is now cancelled So I have a bank of questions sitting in my computer's hard drive. They are quite eclectic in their nature. I am thinking I could put up a set of questions for which you write down your answers. After 30mins or so I will put up the answers. DO NOT POST YOUR ANSWERS. before I post the right answers. You mark your own answers and post your score. I will then record the scores and at the end of the ""lockdown"" we will see who is WHO's brainbox supreme. Obiviously no looking up the answers (you only cheat yourselves) Word of warning these won't be easy questions as they have been devised for teams of six. Forming teams on here might be too problematic. So I'll try to pick out the easier questions. Any interest?"

"OK eastie-hammer, I've come back and retrospectively answered the rounds I've missed - it was quite easy to avoid the answers this time! Scores in order: 7, 4, 5, 7 & 10 (a Bengal short of a full set!), giving me a total of 33 to add to my paltry 9 so far. Today's is back to being too difficult so I may have guessed 4..."

"*Googles whats the difference between crows and ravens* Ravens (seen right here) often travel in pairs, while crows (left) are seen in larger groups. Also, study the tail as the bird flies overhead. A crow's tail is shaped like a fan, while the raven's tail appears wedge-shaped or triangular. ... Crows give a cawing sound, but ravens produce a lower croaking sound. * remembers dear old nan telling me you learn something new every day* But Thanks EH"

Sos I will allow the bonus But not crows as the answer to1 which can only be Ravens. Ravens are different from crows and if crows left the Tower of London nobody would give one. There are however Beefeaters specifically charged with ensuring the well being of the Ravens. To ensure they stay.

"Genuine question 1 Crows? I got 7 (8 if the above is allowed) Do I get the bonus point East? I said ""american sports teams names"" on the bottom of my entry. So 9 if is theme and Crows ok 8 if someone is pedantic and does not allow one of those two answers 7 if everyone is complete shits and do not allow either answer :) PS seeing as everyone here knows everything it will not have got unnoticed that the Baltimore ravens a.k.a crows , nickname is the Purple Murder, (Wikipedia et al 2020 :) ) a group of crows is called a murder, (Rf Quiz 1) a group of ravens is called an unkindness!!!! they could hardly be called the Purple Unkindness, could they FFS? I rest my case. These are all facts well known among the fuckwit fraternity who sit up all night watching hours of ads, hoping for a ridiculous game. that only americans play so as they can be world champions at it, to break out occasionally and sporadically. Have a nice day Y'all and thanks for the quiz East , Awesome Job"
