We're fucked if we keep Potter. The bloke is useless.
Since he has come in what are the positives? The results are just as bad, the football has somehow got worse. He has fallen out with players, he isn't inspiring, his press conferences are a shambles already and the one bloke he brought in who he knew has been an absolute dud.
He has also given up with the youth and doesn't seem to have any idea of his best 11.
And people want to back him in the summer with a rebuild and £100m?!?!?
Bonkers, absolutely bonkers if we don't get rid after sunday.
Can anyone backing him tell me why we all should given his performance and the teams performance since he has come in?
Cos for some reason there’s a tonne of people who won’t accept that he’s done a worse job than Lopetegui until he’s brought in HIS players
it’s like comparing 2 drivers in F1 who are on the same team, they’re both driving a car with the same engine, but imagine making an argument that the weaker driver would be better if he had a faster car
And to continue the analogy imagine the driver is driving with the brakes on and only gets into 2nd gear!
It’s also been reported that Fonseca made Sullivan the offer that he could put a clause in his contract that if he didn’t get us in the top 10 after taking over from Lopetegui that he could be sacked with no compensation, and Sullivan turned it down cos he thought we should be in the top 10 anyway and that was no achievement
if true, how is this clown getting away with what he’s done since he took over

I remain completely unconvinced by him, and if Sullivan is backing him for the job then it's probably the wrong decision to keep him on.
I'll give him somewhat of a clean slate over the summer (it'll be difficult to forget how awful we've been under him this season), but next season is likely to make him or break him as a top flight manager.
I'm concerned about next season. We have to back the manager seeing how many players are likely to leave, and if it goes wrong we're back to where were were last season but with much better promoted teams to contend with.
I just hope there's no Kilman type transfers anymore if we are backing the manager.

I was under the impression that Potter was a smart coach and tactically astute.
Right now he's managing us in exactly the same way that Moyes did which led him to the club not renewing his contract.
Moyes used to have the same negative approach to Man City away as he did for Sheffield Utd at home. When we were desperate for a result because most of our players are under performing, he's make the most underwhelming changes or make none, and expect a different result.
Potter played a very average team at Man Utd and whilst we played ok, the result was more a reflection on how shit and uninterested Man Utd were. But Potter decided that is the team that can beat Forrest, who are a better team, are playing away from home, play in a different style, are desperate for points - in reality a completely different game and opponent.
Moyes criticism was that you could pick a more dull and uninspiring line-up for games if you tired and now Potter is losing the fans before a ball is even kicked with such boring and negative approach to games.
I fully expect us to be groaning when we see the line-up against Ipswich next week.

“We don’t break quickly because our only outlet is the wing backs”.
This is spot on, and there’s lots to say about it.
Unfortunately, I missed yesterdays game due to work (was out of London), but caught up on it in full last night. Poor, yet again, as we all know.
One of the many things that concerns me about Partridge, is that he’s yet another of the modern day managers who relies too heavily on the now-simplistic full-back “overlap” to create the few chances his teams do.
Its like the only thing he’s learned in football management is the one thing everybody learned years ago: that two full-backs with huge lungs can give you the numerical advantage out wide when you finally break. Every manager with half a brain cell learned this tactic from others years ago, but then went on to develop other approaches, options and looks. Ours tore that page out of the modern coaching manual and left the building. Like a junior doctor running off with the chapter on teeth before pursuing a career in dentistry.
Potter is a one-trick pony. His teams aimlessly fanny around until the opportunity to create that overload presents itself. And often that opportunity doesn’t present itself, so we “just” aimlessly fanny around until we give the all away. It’s possession, sure. But it’s directionless, uninformed possession that has no bite or outcome.
I really don’t think he knows how to coach his central midfield - he certainly shows no sign of it - let alone the movement of his forwards or the co-ordination of his centre backs. It makes us so predictable, and blunt, it defies belief.
He needs to get on top of some other approaches - quickly.

Having sat in the gods yesterday stacking up the incredible atmosphere at the last home game of the season, it was shockingly clear why we don’t create chances. We don’t break quickly because our only outlet is the wing backs and when they get high up the pitch they have one player in the box, which is Bowen. Fuck knows where Kudus is playing these days but he picked up the ball in terrible positions and we know the rest about his ball retention. Add to that the slowest minefield 3 in the league and there you have it. All on Potter no one else to blame. Add his fucking verbal dioreah at the start and end of every game and you have a pressing state of affairs.
no one at the ground seems to give 2 fucks anyway.

Is there any reason for Sullivan to keep Potter other than not wanting to look like a dick in hiring him?
Is the compensation that much? Is it worth getting relegated for?
I think if West Ham keep him I’m sure it would be a record. I can’t imagine any club has kept someone on with such a low win ratio in the same circumstances. This guy has had a fucking transfer window and 6 months.
It’s mental. Truly psychotic behaviour to be backing Potter. There’s just no logic to it. What is anyone seeing in this situation that warrants it continuing?
After the whirlwind success of the Evan Ferguson loan, many are excited to see who Potter might bring in next to relegate us with
And that’s called being a true West Ham fan, slag the players off all day long, even though a lot of them won a trophy for the club, but don’t you dare take a pop at the manager who can barely win a game let alone a piece of silverware.

For the uneducated check out Will Stills record with Lens this season.
Then stop behaving like little Spurs cunts and get behind our manager Graham Potter.
I’m convinced this cսnt doesn’t actually follow football.

OK....
Will Still - 43% win ratio
Alan Partridge - 22% win ratio
Lens respectably 8th with a chance of still getting as high as 6th in his debut season, whereas we are in a worse position than when Potter took over that could end up just above the relegation zone if we lose away to Ipswich.
So cheers for reaffirming some of our beliefs that Potter is fucking useless and that Still would be a better option than our turnip of a manager.

Nice work there, Mr. Attack

I know I keep saying it, but it really doesn't matter who the manager is. He has to be Sullivan's man or he wouldn't be in the job. I'd prefer Still but his new methods would have his boss baulking and hovering over the nuke button every time we lose.

Will Still is leaving Lens and wants to come to England as his bird is fighting cancer.
Southampton are sniffing round him…let’s go and get him in.
If possible and if he would come I would like us to try and pinch the palace manager.
