Nketiah is naff that he couldn't hack it at Arsenal and now Palace want rid of him already? 😂

Wouldn’t say no to Nketiah
Bit of pace and has his own teeth

Guess he realises he isnt putting Mateta out of Palace’s team unless some Millwall thug drop kicks him in the head again
If Palace are buying Brennan Johnson they may need to shift someone

I'd bite your arm off for Nketiah. We ain't getting anyone prolific but Nketiah is pacey and can cause problems and if he can nick a few assists and goals he could prove to be a decent addition.

Cant see it happening anyway as it would mean our cսnt owner forking out a fair wedge.

What's Roger Milla up to?

Previously I’d have turned my nose up at Nketiah but given the circumstances I don’t hate it. Got some of the attributes we need in a striker but he’s far from prolific and not getting a game at Palace although he is behind Mateta.

Mignt have something to prove and sniff an outside chance of an England call up. All he really needs to do is be a nuisance and clear space and make opportunities for Bowen, and chip in with 4-5.

At first glance I hate this, but a quick look at his stats (all be it based on not much game time) and the picture looks better:

Compare that to, say, Callum Wilson...

Nketiah + the big lad at Viktoria Plzen instead of Fulkrug to add to Wilson gives more options and energy on the face of it. Throw in another winger and hope that someone in the three turns out to be a Demba Ba rather than Mido??

I think Toney is in the two year tax trap thing that meant Henderson had to stay abroad at Ajax after Saudi - come back inside two years and there's a huge tax bill waiting.

No surprise Ake has said no but we are bound to be looking at similar reserves/out of favour players at the wealthy clubs as an option - it'll probably be a loan from Chelsea.

We're also linked to this bloke:

Simple.

Sell Paqueta and Kilman and get in Cresswell and Toney.

Agree Massive.  1 decent physical, central striker who doesnt get injured much would make the biggest difference. Another centre mid with pace who can create and score a few goals and a big, athletic CB. We will not get them. Sullivan will deliver something underwhelming via his agents

We lack up front as well as defensively. Both need addressing. Midfield, apart from 1 creative midfielder that actually produces goals, is as good as it can be right now.

You’d imagine Ake wants to stay and pick up another Premier League medal and then consider his options in the summer with decent Premier league teams
Even if he is a bit part player for the rest of the season he will be in the Netherlands World Cup squad

We need a competent centre half and one if not two decent strikers
Will we get them? I have no confidence that that will happen with the cock muncher Sullivan pulling the strings

Ake won't be a £10m loan fee that's just ridiculous.  £20m on Cresswell would take up most of our Jan budget.   A striker and winger is far more important to prioritise funds for.

We're lacking far more in attack than defence.

Palace moving for Brennan Johnson. Arguments aside over the player and how good he is as it’s not the point. The point is they are in early to arrest their dip in form. Spurs getting more for a current reserve player (35m) than we’d get for anyone on the books not named Bowen or Fernandes. We are miles behind.

Most of the damage here was done 12-18 months ago. It’s just chickens coming home to roost now. The state of our squad particularly in the attacking positions is an utter joke. My how well Sullivan spent the Rice money….

Which was why it was so important for Nuno to pick up points/wins when he could so to keep us within a decent shout of getting better quality in. Now we are pissing in the wind scratching around for players desperate/greedy enough to join our mess of a Club in dire relegation straits.

I can't imagine why any player would want to join us right now except as a short, lucrative loan deal.

And if by some miracle we did stay up, we've got another 30+ year old injury prone player picking up his pension.

That would be the smart forward thinking approach should we go down, or manage to stay up. Save the Ake money and go for Cresswell. Ake would be on his toes quicker than Sullivan could send him back to City should relegation happen.
