"Shirt fine, pretty standard stuff, but always looks weird without white shorts and socks. New white and claret away kit looks decent."

Burnley a smaller fambase and up north where £50 is probably the same as £75 in London

you'd assume there's an RRP set by Umbro

I think our club owners haven't really been told where the line is on anything so who can blame them......we've sold out our season tickets year after year before winning a cup of any sort.....ironically the only bit of disgust we've shown was against Burnley and even then we attacked our own for playing up.....

We either charge a higher price because ours cost more or we’re ripping off our own fans. Take your pick.

That’s the price we pay for being Umbro’s flagship club.

Bit off charging £20 more isn’t it? Fucking cheats.

"Burnley kit revealed today. Made by Umbro, basically the same but with a blue collar.... Plus £20 cheaper than ours. https://shop.burnleyfc.com/kit-c1/home-c12 Is that our board fleecing us or Umbro mess up."

"I used to sell Fila (Scotland) shirts in a past life. Retail price at the time was £40 a shirt. Profit per shirt to us was just less than £20 per shirt. We didn't need that amount of profit so I said I'd likely be selling them cheaper than £40. Fila then said if we were caught selling them less than £40 they wouldn't sell to us again. I'd imagine there are still rules from the kit suppliers that have to be followed, especially with new kits. The money they pay us (WH) has to be recovered somehow innit."

"Read the following article the other day about the breakdown of the cost of a kit. Typically a club gets a lump sum from a brand to wear their kit. On top of lump sum for an 80 quid kit the club get approx 4 quid Then the retailer, again predominantly the club, get approx 25 quid. Fucking hell, no wonder they change every season and have 3 kits per season https://www.footyheadlines.com/2023/07/full-breakdown-price-of-football-shirt.html"

I like the shirt. Very traditional. We should always have white shorts and socks though.

I like the home shirt and agree about the sky blue collar. However I hate the claret shorts and they should always be white. Too much claret makes us look like Hearts of Midlothian. What happened to a bit tradition? White shorts!

"""Anyone with a set of eyes in their head can see that it's a great kit!"" Anyone with a modicum of business acumen can see that it's simply (yet) another missed opportunity to expand our fan base. If the club want to make any (ANY) inroads into the SE Asian & Chinese markets then the kit needs RED - and lots of it. Orange is pseudo-woke trans and needs to be binned as a schoolboy error.."

I like the new kit. But I'm a grown man so I won't be buying it.

are we not allowed to have Betway on the shirt for any european games? an EasyJet european kit would be hilarious.

Not normally involved in threads like this being here but local gossip is we could be wearing an orange kit next year and flying Easyjet to away games. Make of that whatever you want
