From the BBC article.
Rival fans used to mock Palmeiras' academy, singing that they had never won the Copa Sao Paulo, Brazil's premier youth competition. Those times are long gone. Not only have Palmeiras won the 'Copinha', as the tournament is affectionately known, twice (2022 and 2023), but they have also established themselves as the hottest talent factory in Brazilian football.Over the past few years, the Sao Paulo-based giants have produced and sold stars such as Chelsea-bound
Estevao Willian (£29m), Real Madrid's
Endrick(£28.5m), West Ham's
Luiz Guilherme (£25.5m), Nottingham Forest's
Danilo(£16m), and Shakhtar Donetsk's Kevin (£8m, all fees including add-ons).They have all helped Palmeiras cement their status as the most successful Brazilian team of the past decade while generating massive revenue.
This club really fucks things up doesnt it?

Were it not for the reported fee (of which we do not know the full make up), we would all be excited about having an 18 year old highly rated attacker in our match day squads. Instead, people are advocating selling him after a few minutes here and there.
We’ll be a proper shit club if we sign someone for his future potential and then give up after 6 months. Why would any young talent want to sign in future?
How about we let him get settled in the country, develop, and then make our judgement instead?

The club needs to employ some of these scouts from WHO that are able to judge a players potential from a 5 appearance totaling 45 minutes.

He did play once for the U21s and scored in the Premier League International Cup against Benfica. Rest of the time he's been with the Senior Team.

Actually, I never thought about why he might not have featured in the 21s, that’s a good point.
And yeah, for team balance alone he should have taken the place of one of those defensive players, there has to be a reason why Potter didn’t play him. I’m hoping that it’s nothing more sinister than that he had done his homework long before taking the job and therefore simply doesn’t know anything about the kid. Doesn’t explain his faith in Scarles, though.

45 minutes he's been given this season, the only fuck up are the coaches/managers that have failed to use him more
Agreed, and if any of the site spastics are using playing time as a stick to beat this young talented player with, then Scarles has been here longer, under many more managers, is older and has had about the same number of minutes. So presumably we should be shipping him off for next to nothing as well.
In fact, since Guilherme is only 18 let’s use that criteria to get rid of the entire U21 squad including those out on loan and those who won the U18 cup. Because if they were good enough, they would all be starting every week, right?
gank, my theory about the fee is more about him not being used either for the PL2 team. something doesn't add up, but we've seen it before (especially under the jock) with players being completely ignored/excluded. that game last saturday made me think it even more. people lost their shit last season when moyes used four CMs (when we had that useless fucker, phillips), saturday potter did it again. it made no sense other than he wasn't allowed to select the kid

Is there a reason why this lad hasnt been picked for the FIFA u20 world cup that starts next week
He’s an Under 18 this season, there’s no rush to play in the Under 20s now taking someone else’s spot when they are looking for more youth caps while still young enough.

If Sullivan and/or his mates didn't get a slice of the commission on him arriving, then they're sure as hell gonna get a mother of a slice on his leaving.

He’s had ample chances but looks like a competition winner whenever he gets on the pitch.
Offload.

Yep, more evidence of “The Sullivan Effect”. Sell him to reflect badly on Steidten is reason enough for our insidious owner.

what's been fucked up? his minutes on the field haven't even gone past ninety minutes yet, potter has hardly seen anything of him. the sale rumours are coming from the usual source, which is about 4ft tall. why the fuck he's desperate to get this lad out of the club, you tell me? maybe it's another fee based on appearances or minutes. who knows? it could be anything with that slippery little fucker
Not exactly set the world of fire so getting him off the wage bill may not be a bad thing
