Time for massive protests against David Sullivan!

We can't simply accept his presence! We need to get him the fuck away from our club!

Think about it. Daytrippers will naturally gravitate more towards successful Teams, rarely because of the name of a Club - They don't really care or understand the history for the most part. Or one's deemed to pick up more points, wins and general entertainment. Just happy to experience a local in proximity to their stay (London) Club in the Premier League. Once the diehards dwindle more and more away and the Club languishes just above the relegation zone, then the less appealing it will be for daytrippers to fork out so much for 1 single ticket. Why bother when you can go to Fulham/Brentford/Palace for a better cheaper experience in an atmosphere that won't be toxic and dead as fuck..

BS will be very nervous about the loss of guaranteed gate receipts and all it brings. Remember, it's not the Daytrippers who generate any kind of atmosphere, it is only the diehards. Hmm how's that relegation battle looking upon the horizon Dave/Kaz...🫡 Their arseholes are twitching. And if it aint, it fucking well should be. 2p, 1p, 2p, 1p..

Also how ironic would it be if there are scores of visible empty seats in future, considering the fact they purposely avoided forking out to change them from bright white to darker claret. It'll be symbolic about their demise that'll be impossible to ignore should it go more that way and all for the sake of penny pinching, funny that..

How many empty seats does there need to be at a top PL game for the media to notice and comment on?

OK, so the club have got the money from ST sales, but there has to be a point where low levels of attendance raise embarrassing questions.

Just not turning up, even if you really, really want to see the stars of the PL, and certainly not reselling your seat, would beam images of those empty seats around the world.

They can make potentially five times as much from selling a seat game by game but alternatively they could make nothing. A one off ticket buyer is definitely a lot more valuable then a season ticket holder in terms of what they spend first on the ticket and then more likely as a one off or rare visitor on food drink and likely something in the shop. But you can't tell a lender you have that money even if you can reliably forecast it on past data because it might not happen, so they won't lend against it. Bit of a weird catch 22. On one hand I am sure they want to fuck us off because they make loads more from tourists and infrequent attenders, but they can't because their business plan of payday loans to finance the upcoming season goes down the shitter.

If the ST waiting list was massive and people were jumping at the chance to take season tickets the moment the renewal deadline passes they wouldn't give a fuck at all though, I am sure.
So, if you want to maintain your season ticket...A season ticket...the best option is to not renew until the very last day.

The perceived/promoted risk is that by leaving it late then you might not get the seat(s) you want, and I fully understand that.

The counter to that is that you just walk away if your preferred seat is not available. Nailed on if you threaten that, the seat you want will suddenly become "available again after a late cancellation" (last day to purchase - how "late" is "late"?) . That's a big risk, though,  and far be it for me to suggest others take it.

Also it needs a significant number of ST holders to go down that path and for a myriad of reasons, too few people are likely to take on such an approach - were I a ST holder (again), I'd probably buy as soon as they became available because that's what I tend to do with all purchases of stuff I want; one less thing to worry about later.

The bottom line is: " Do they want/need your money more than you want/need football. It's apples & oranges in reality.

Yes. We are guaranteed big money to them beyond their usual revenue streams. I was hounded by 5 seperate calls from Ticket Office staff this summer once it became apparent I wasn't renewing like I usually did. And each time they were very reluctant to give up on my loyal support reliable ST payments, as well as anything I may potentially buy in the Shop/concourses which wasn't much anyway. It was a real eye opener in to how desperate they were being this summer, although not shocked. They must have hemorrhaged a shitload of reliable fans since the move that it now concerns them greatly, regardless of how many daytrippers take some of our spots. That goes only so far before it's of real concern..

Sullivan''s VisiCalc program has probably told him that a seat occupied by a different tourist for every (home) game generates a better ROI than one occupied by a local/season ticket holder.

So long as the club remains in the PL (and it's Brand PL the tourists come to see, not West Ham), banks will keep lending (Payday loans) and sucking interest payments from the club coffers.
Would relegation cleanse the club of him, or would it put us in dire straits that we could find ourselves falling down the leagues or worse?

That's the point I finally got to with it all. I realise I'm pissing in the wind a bit wanting to push a petition as I'll try anything to apply pressure on the rat bastards to leave the Club. Ultimately it's got to be in the pocket that'll send the biggest message of all to them.

Money is their only language they truly understand and they were clearly sweating it this summer endlessly chasing around to keep longstanding punters.

Unless we see regular scenes like Burnley, or a protest 20k strong, he’s going to decompose with his whore by his side.
