Do you think we suit 352? Looked to me AWB doesn't like playing wing back, seem to be facing our goal most of the time and not able turn so gave the ball away numerous times. Also negated our best player, Bowen, by playing him off Fulkrug. Just a point among many other issues!

Ok well we can have differing opinions on that. But if that match doesn’t make Sullivan wake the fuck from sucking salthouse and Wilson’s dicks and ignoring the actual needs of the team I don’t know what will.

Didn't see 2nd half, too much "Horlicks' and fell asleep.
Fucking JWP and Rodriguez, how have they managed to sneak their way back in?
I think there is a lot hanging on the return of Summerville, but will he be the same player we saw glimpses of last season. It's a big risk.
We've stood by Paqueta through all this shit, he owes us a decent season - not looking to fuck off elsewhere.
Alvarez to come back.
So just the 5 or 6 new players needed in the next fortnight . .

No one is picking that midfield 3 to send a message. He's the manager of this football club, there's no time to play silly games. The season starts in 3 weeks, he should be focusing on what is best for the team with what he's got.
We saw it last season, his terrible team selections when there were other options available. He'd be better off picking his nan to start ahead of that Argie, let alone Paqueta or Potts.

We're a very poor team. Long hard season incoming if we don't get some quality through the door, which seems very unlikely at this point.

I think that selection in CM was a direct message to little napoleon. It is mental how physically inadequate all three are to keep up with the pace of a game. They are triers but the body just isn’t willing or able. Guido got absolutely done a few times. We will surely sign 1-2.
Kilman is a huge worry as well. So slow and we are stuck with him for several years. He got done a few times.
on the plus side if we can get him to stay, paqueta looked lively and fearon looked very good but we can’t seriously pin many hopes on him yet. Aguerd was easily our best CB. I know it’s not saying much but he was decent.

If you can’t make players better what’s the point of a coach?

That is actually the problem. This guy was the fucking manager for the second half of last season, so he has spent time with this squad, yet STILL picks those 3 central midfield players. It's a crime to football to start all 3.
To be fair, it is hard to disagree with that

You can't polish a turd, you also don't have to intentionally step in it, bare footed.

Do you not think that the first part of the job when he took over was improving the players we have?
let’s be honest that hasn’t happened at all.
You can't polish a turd
No, but you can roll it in glitter.
Cock Piss hasn't even done that.

From the few highlights I've seen so far, this was nothing to do with Potter nor his formation.
More down to the fact that most of the senior players picked up where they ended last season.

I don't care if the other options are young academy lads, it's irrelevant. There are other options, and he should have spent the whole time off thinking about it, because it was our biggest weakness last season.
Pre season didn't use to mean much, but the last few years it's been a big indicator for what lies ahead for the season. Clearly, not much has changed in terms of how we're going to set up, and style of play.
On a positive note, Callum Wilson is nearly through the door

Potter can improve players but make them run faster and be more athletic he would need to be able to implement biological changes to the bodies of soucek, Guido, JWP
He would also need to get Areola to develop basic skills of control and passing that an outfield player has. Not so easy to get when the bloke is 30 years old.
i cannot blame Potter too much yet. He hasnt got players yet from Sullivan to address the obvious weaknesses in centre mid, goalkeeper and striking areas. As it stands, its mostly on Sullivan if the season implodes and relegation ensues which seems likely as it stands
Oh dear, Vexed isn't going to like that commonsense one bit

Imagine picking those 3 and expecting a different outcome!!
or worse, intentionally picking them to play that way.

You couldn't get a midfield 3 more suited to crab football than Guido, Soucek & JWP. Zero pace, drive and creativity.
Paqueta and Fearon looked miles better when they came on. Potts looked alright too.

How can it not be down to Potter? Surely his job as a coach is to make these players better?

More down to the fact that most of the senior players picked up where they ended last season. Only Bowen and Bissaka showing some quality.
For the youngsters I think Fearon and Marshall looked good.
So we are at a stand still really.
We can't rely with the youngsters fitting the holes, we need two midfielders, a forward and a goalkeeper at least.

Unless he drastically revamps midfield his time will be short
If Soucek & JWP are starting reckon Potter will be gone by the end of October

My only prediction for next season is that CockPissPotter will be sacked before the season ends.
last season many said the same about Lopetegui and you can see it a mile off here as well.

I have the feeling that JWP will be a mainstay in Potter's team. He looks way past it now as a Premier League player. Slow and ponderous.

Not watched … it’s a training session but sounds like the same unresolved issues
Get Hermansen in for Areola … why are we waiting?
Rodriguez, Soucek & JWP all need to do their slow motion shuffle out to be replaced by at least two midfielders who can run plus making opportunities for Potts & Earthy & maybe even the young boy who came on today (Fearon?)
Another striker who isn’t a sick note or a car crash cripple
