"I've noticed 'Bull' that I saw at the London Film Festival is starting to appear on torrent sites. If you liked Kill List, Down Terrace, Dead Man's Shoes, Get Carter and those kinds of British revenge films you'll love this. Neil Maskell is brilliantly vicious. In fact I think I'll watch it again tonight."

"good film? ""In a glade away from the mansion, Phil masturbates with a delicate scarf belonging to his late mentor, Bronco Henry. Peter enters a bivouac in the glade and finds a stash of Bronco Henry's homoerotic magazines depicting nude men. He observes Phil bathing in a pond with Bronco's scarf around his neck before Phil chases him away. Shortly afterward, Phil surprisingly makes amends with Peter, offering to plait him a lasso from rawhide and teaches him to ride a horse. Peter heads out on his own one day, finds a dead cow and, after carefully putting on rubber surgeon's gloves he brought in his backpack, cuts off pieces of the cow's hide. Later, while trying to catch a rabbit with Peter, Phil gashes his hand on some wood posts, but declines Peter's offer to dress the wound. Afterward, Peter tells Phil about finding the body of his alcoholic father, who had hanged himself, and having the strength to cut him down."" üòÇ"

Must admit I lasted about 20 mins of Power of the Dog also. Benedict Cumberbatch as the rough tough cowboy with a heart of LAVENDER just didnt drag me in. Not surprised that Northern Cow-poke was CAPTIVATED by this delicate tale of gay cowboys.

"Anybody thinking of watching Deep Water with Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas - don’t go in with high expectations, wort a watch just for the charms of de Armas! Bizarre premise"

"The Power of the Dog is a load of unwatchable woke shit and Cumberbatch is his usual irritating, overacting, woke cսnt in it."

"Didn't want to start a new thread so on the movie thread it is. Was saddened to hear today that Bruce Willis is retiring from acting as he had aphasia, a condition that affects a person's ability to communicate. I'd never heard of it but I did see a film of his recently and he wasn't himself at all. He has made some dodgy straight to DVD stuff in recent years but loved growing up with Moonlighting and the Die Hard movies etc. Sounds an awful illness and I wish him well."

"Was prepared to hate The Batman but was actually very impressed; its very dark, both literally and metaphorically and too long but it it is really well made and Pattinson makes a really interesting emo Batman"

"Update from the set of Kit Bag. Old 'limping' Ridley has a temper on him, causing two production staff to burst into tears. JP is pretty cool and often seen having a fag out the back. Extras arrive Friday but the Period Costume Designer is having kittens, as a million quid's worth of Prussian army uniforms are yet to arrive from Pakistan. It's a 67 day shoot with no break, and on day 2, crew are already at the end of their tethers."

Anon… probably seen the film 20+ times… love everything to do with that part of history… like you say unless you get the whole of the Russian army in as extras (which is what they did) then pretty hard replicating it… fav scene is the charge of the Scotts Greys… absolute goosebumps…. Well that and when the French Old Guard... who had never lost a battle get their bearskinned arses torn apart…. “NOW MAITLAND… NOW’S YOUR TIME”
