Two years and four days is the average lifespan of a premier league manager. What's the hold up then?

"It was only when Bielsa lost half or more of his entire squad and had to play youth team players that he couldn't get a tune out.of them defensively. With first team players and experienced defenders that know what they're doing, he had a pretty acceptable record with Leeds in the prem."

"With Bielsa it would be carnage We can't defend now and Bielsa wouldn't work on that too much in training but I think he could get the best out of our attacking players, Bowen and Benrahma would be given licence to play forwards, the idea of Antonio and Scammaca playing up front wouldn't be a distant thought in his mind and Soucek would be nowhere near the side as he would favour a Lanzini or Fornals buzzing around the midfield moving forwards rather than being shackled to protect our goal at all costs. Bielsa would be a mad appointment but one that could see us be entertained especially when attacking and pulling our hair out when defending. Get him in"

"Personally I don't think he ever wanted Paqueta, he was offered around to the whole league right at the.end of the window and we were the only ones to say yes, Lyons president confirmed it. Moyes had no plan for him, and you can tell by the way he sets him up in the side. I reckon Aguerd was the only first choice how wanted, the rest all offered by Sullivan/agents that he had to sign because the squad was so short. He basically told the owners he'd take anyone he classified as a 'top 6 player' whatever that means"

I see Sullivan has got the word out to the drunk that 'Moyes is on thin ice' and that the board have offered money to Moyes for a striker which the Scot has turned down Friday night should be interesting at least. Pissing it down and Moyes looking like a drowned angry ferret

"Yep Nick, Sullivan will call up Salthouse, Mackay, Silkman or some old agent crony to see what managers are still on their 1980s Rolodex cards. Benitez, Bruce or someone old so Sully not challenged. Sullivan got lucky for 2 seasons ( well 18 months as last season was starting to unravel in Feb) and probably put it down to his shrewd judgement bringing Moyes back. To an extent of course it was a good move but things move on quickly and you have to be ready for when things might go tits up. As always, Sullivan isn't, his ego was still basking in 2 European qualifications. Like Moyes, pointing backwards not forwards. In the end , the rotten owners stench was always going to return"

"Loads of good managers in Europe, as Brighton have just showed if you have a plan b. Of course we don't have any kind of fucking plan so no doubt will end up with another dinosaur"

Think the Brentford manager whose name I can't remember would be a very decent appointment

The more I think about it . Bielsa should be the next manager paqueta scamacca Bowen benrhama fornals would all absolutely thrive under him .and just as importantly the fans would be seriously entertained as well.

"Kretinsky waiting to see what division we are in before committing to purchase. The buyout price clause will be a huge difference if end up in the Championship. It won't. The share option price is the same, if we are Championship or Champions' League. Though of course, that option, less likely to be exercised, if in the Championship, you would think."

"I agree with goose. Too many excuses for Paqueta. I keep hearing he is being played out of position but yet he has played in that same position plenty of times for Lyon & Brazil. You only have to do a bit of research to confirm he can play and has played as a number 8,10 & 11. Go watch Brazil's game against South Korea. He was switching between all 3 positions."

Sullivan is the biggest loser if we go down. He loves money too much to let that happen.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk of marching/demonstrating. Sullivan still the problem. Kretinsky waiting to see what division we are in before committing to purchase. The buyout price clause will be a huge difference if end up in the Championship.

I could play in goal and still make simple passes and not try and do silly tricks on the edge of my own box. You're just making excuses for him.

"Goose, playing out of position affect's a player's ability , performance and confidence. Moyes has a proven record of this not only for us but every where else he has managed."

"He is the least adaptable manager out there. Some of the signings have potential, but he won't play to their strengths because his preferred style of play is having a striker running around like a headless chicken, with our main source of goals coming from set pieces. If that fails, we just don't score. Quite why he thinks Paqueta is a 10 is baffling. Quite why he has a better keeper on the bench every week is baffling. If that Fabianski error isn't enough to move him out of the first team, he never will. Great player for us, but that is an inexcusable mistake at any level, let alone Prenier League."

"Most of the summer signings probably were Sullivan's because Moyes was dithering too much and we would have ended with nothing. He waited on Lingard far too long, apparently wanted Broja when Chelsea had no interest in selling. It sounds like Aguerd & Paqueta were 2 he did actually want judging by his comments about ""watching them for quite a while""รน The others were just a case of Moyes dithering and us desperately needing numbers in certain positions so the board bought the likes of Kehrer, Cornet & Downes off their own back."
