"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

"zebthecat 3:34 Mon Oct 30 I will choose to interpret that as you feel I'm not get carried away""¶ I'm out there with On The Ball for the game after next v The Commanders. It's the Tribute to Service game, and, well, for everything good we've done wit the Throwback, this years TTS is honking. Some of those big guys will look like Jaba the Hutt in that. Will I be buying it from the pro shop? Of course"

"Joe C 1:18 Mon Oct 30 I agree with your second sentence completely, your first sentence somewhat less so. FIns 6-2 for the first time in years and sweeping the Patriots again. I watched end of the Jets/GIants game. Brilliant stuff and Greg the leg was never going to miss."

"southbankbornnbred 12:42 - That was a tough watch last night, even on my 99p for a week of DAZN offer! But Zach Wilson came up with the goods the last few plays, decent throws and decisons, also good spot re: players. We're getting there."

"I'm not going to get carried away, but the Seahawks are definitely going to win the Super Bowl. And DAMN our throwback kit looks great."

The Lions taking an absolute shellacking from the Ravens. The Washington/Giants game is ugly as hell and has descended into who is the least worst QB and O-line. The Browns pass rush is ludicrous.

"Grump - Saleh's defense is now really working well, and feels very similar to when he was DC in San Francisco. He and Joe Douglas have slowly put the pieces of that jigsaw together over three seasons. It's a play-off calibre defense, but unfortunately we don't have a (fit) QB to guide an offense (especially one with a heavily battered O-line). In the absence of Rodgers, I'll take more efforts from Zach Wilson like last night. He finally showed some bollocks and got a bit of a battering in the process. Protecting the ball is part of the QB's game. I notice that his team-mates (who think he's a prima dona) gathered around him at the end. Bodes well."

"Sorry Grump - you're right! ""Beating them at their own game"" suddenly turned into ""in their own back yard""! We don't win that often against good sides - I'm still D-Mob..."

"Jets were at home SB! Pleased for Salah, want him to do well as he set in motion the defence we currently have."

"No teams left unbeaten then. We should still be with the rookie missing a fairly easy field goal, though if it wasn't for the extremely dodgy officials continually giving very suspect decisions to the Brown's on their last drive, wouldn't have come to that anyway."

"The win last night was all about the Jets' excellent defense. To do that to Philly in their own back yard was a superb effort. Zach Wilson remains a problem. He makes very odd decisions - including, three times last night, calling a roll left (taking the TEs that way) and then bootlegging to his blind right side where he had no receivers and just ran into an Eagles CB or safety for a loss. BUT, in all fairness to Zach, we did see a tiny bit of progress last night. While he's still makes poor reads, he finally put his body on the line - often taking a hit for the team when, in previous games, he would throw the ball away (often for an interception) when he was about to be sacked. Last night, he just took the lost yardage and some bruising. But kept the ball for his (good) kicker. It's not exactly progress with his throwing, but it shows a change of character and that he's trying to be in the physical battle with his team-mates. More of that from him. His team-mates will respect him more for it."

"Fucking great win, that, against a very good Eagles side! Proper Jets football, with the defense leading the way. Ave it!"

"Superb from the Jets. Have that Siriani, you fucking cսnt, leading a bunch of fucking cunts. Unbelievable it's the first time the Jets have ever beaten them."

Im still in pretty desperate need of a proper running back! I have 6 wide receivers who are all the number 1 target on their team and only one proper running back! Must be some negotiating to be done!

"That was some beating the 49ers handed out to the Cowboys. Dealt with a very good Dallas defense. Just caught up with the highlights (didn't see the game). The season is shaping up now. As usual, my lot are well out of it by week five. The Fish look fast and furious, but will surely implode upon contact?!"

Love the absolute beatdown the 49ers put on the cowgirls. Too much talk- as ever- coming out of Dallas. Bit of humility never hurt anyone.

"Jets got an ugly win in Denver, which the press are making a huge deal of in their usual overblown way. But the truth is that the Jets' air offense continues to stink the place out. The win was forged, once again, on some excellent defense and a running game led by Breese Hall (including a 72 yard TD). Zach Wilson still cannot read the game and throw the football quickly enough in the NFL. He isn't getting any better with playing time and experience, Yet. But, to be fair to him, his O-line was awful in pass protection and everybody still seems confused by the OC's playbook (designed entirely for Aaron Rodgers). It's so disjointed. But the fact is the Jets cant really pass the football. Yet the irony is we have a superb receiver in Garret Wilson, plus Cobb and Lazard, literally waiting to catch the ball. With our O-line and QB, they get little time to get open - but when they do they're often left frustrated because Zach can't see them quickly enough. It's painful to watch. Ugly. Saved by a very fine running back."

"Went to the Bills v Jags game yesterday, always nice to see the Bills Mafia having a sulk. Had only been to that ground as an away fan before and didn't think much of it, but totally different experience yesterday. It works so much better for NFL than Wembley does. Anyway, week off for the mighty Seahawks, we'll continue our charge against the Bengals next week."

"Niners with a statement win over Dallas. Beat them down in every aspect. Browns on the road in an early east coast game, could be tricky. But the Niners are firing on all cylinders right now, so I'm expecting a big road win. on a side note it's always nice to see the Rams lose."
