Anxiety/depression
"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

Re: Anxiety/depression
"I´ve got an mental illness, bipolar they say The main thing about that mental disease and I assume that applies to other mental disorders is you have to learn the symptoms and learn to control yourself. Many cases of people who learn to live with bipolar without meds for example. I believe Bolty can find a solution with that uncontrolled fear and I hope he will conquer it My theory is it´s a very complicated thing this brain we have and everyone is battling with that his whole life in some ways, different ways of course, we get more mature in some ways and win battles and grow with age Or some don´t and kill themselves It´s all about finding your right balance and conquer your fears imo"

"Sitting here at work, then all of a sudden wallop, had an almighty panic attack. Could feel it coming, had an initial wave of anxiety then my chest went all tight and there it went. Fucking horrific, absolutely shattered now."

"Steve. Get in touch with someone just to let us all know that you’re alright. (You’ve got a few of our phone numbers now, so a quick call would put everyone at ease. Including yourself). And as ‘67 says, can we just keep on track on this thread please."

Re: Anxiety/depression
True about being unresponsive. I get like that sometimes I don't pick the phone up if it rings. It's too much trouble to explain how you feel or try and cover it up its easier just to not answer

"I can only echo what Haller has said below. I had a major wobble earlier this year. I didn’t get as far as attempting suicide this time, as I have learnt how to not let it get that far from previous experience. I am coping now and agree - no shame in saying you are struggling and equally no shame in saying you are in a better place. I just hope this fella is okay. It is worrying that you haven’t heard from him, but would just say that you can become very unresponsive when you’re in a bad place, so you shouldn’t necessarily fear the worst. If anyone hears from him, let us know. I’m no expert but I will drop him a whomail with my number as I may be able to just be a useful sounding board. Too much of this about and we should help each other if we can. Some chaps on here have helped me in the past and it genuinely helped."

Re: Anxiety/depression
TM we did not know at the time you whomailed Steve a year ago so we were just concerned about a fellow WHOer who is obviously on the brink of taking his own life again
