"The problem is in Hollywood now is they are so desperate to seem.progressive and make such wonderful perfect female characters (or sinply replace existing I.P. with a race or gender swap) that even if a decent female character did surface (ie ripley or conner) they've made such a rod for their own back with a string of Mary sue characters that are already perfect and only struggle they have is to realise how perfect they are, decent female characters will now get lost as they won't be able to separate the 2 The new crop of Mary sues can't be seen to be weaker than a man nor be saved by nor taught by men. The men can not be seen to be better than them. Their character arcs are more upward trajectories. With only the patriarchy standing in their way. Which makes it hard to have a credible male villain if they will never struggle to overcome them. This intern has thr by product of making the female characters less credible. Take marvel for example. The whole of phase 4 (especially the tv shows) are female characters that are essentially replacing the original male counterpart being instantly better and belittling them. Loki, hawkeye, thor, she hulk etc. Feige has announced he wants more women characters than male ones and now those new ones will instantly reduce their potential credit as people are aware of this and wondering if they're just shoe-horming in female characters for the sake of diversity. All this in an attempt to cater for the woke crowd that wouldn't watch the property anyway whilst simultaneously driving away their natural audience who are sick of getting preached to and concerned by the staggering drop in quality of product. The prey character isn't a Mary sue, struggles with multiple aspects throughout the film and the only reason she survives so long is the predator ignores her twice as a non threat. All the males are shown as pigs (save for the translator and her brother... and even he takes credit for her work) . The ending where his own target system kills him is fucking stupid by the way. My issue with prey was that it's basically the same as predator 1 (and to some degree predators (the one on the alien planet)). I place it below the original, predator 2 (which I like) and probably below even a picture (female protagonist in that one). Similar to but above predators (which I was just bored by) but way above avp2 and thr predator (looking for autism... really??) Predator, like Terminator and alien franchise are busted flushes. There's not much they can do and should let all 3 franchises just die."

"Watch "" The Last Duel"" on Saturday. Obvious massive wokery going on but quite a satisfying film as it had a decent amount of sex and violence amongst the woke stuff. Kind of a film for all. The American actors felt wrong in a French tale though."

"Prey was very good , ""woke"" where was it highlighting injustice .Girl was a tracker and a good one which was not uncommon in them days , I suppose Pochahontas is woke now by some damn pushy women and forced on us by Disney . The fact after every fight the Predator had which was quite a lot(The Bear fight was Great ), it was in pretty bad shape so not unrealistic she could win. It opens more Predator spin offs , how about one in south London , gets hooked on craft Ale and Weed as no one to fight , crush the odd idiot on a moped . Anon. I haven’t yet seen Prey. And certainly not paying Disney for the privilege. My comments was a dig at Hollywood who hide behind a half decent writer (Cameron.) Piss on any IP it owns. Moan’s about failing revenue. (When 80% of your paying customers are 15-40 year old males.) Then has the gall to blame it on the same people who pay for it.! Disney/Fox couldn’t have thought too highly of it. By not giving it a theatrical release. I mean. It couldn’t have been worse than the last Predator movie.?
