General Election - July 2024

Post twoleftfeet »

This appears to be the rumour on Sky. An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats. The Country needs a change but is it going to get one? The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

"Sorry, that should have been 600,000 babies born last year. So in twenty years time when they enter the workforce, every 3 pensioners will have only 2 tax payers to pay their pensions."

"""Immigration really isn't the issue. Its a sub-issue of a wider problem, and the types of immigrants are likewise - but it's really not the problem."" This is very true. White britons think they have better things to do (or more precisely are told they have better things to do) with their youth than raise children. Last year I turned 50. So did 900,000 other British nationals. Only 700,000 babies were born. You don't need to be a mathematician to understand what that means for pensions and the free health service. This nation, like many other nations, have a choice: a re-enchantment that leads to a return to family life and all the values that sustain that life, or flood the country with with often hostile foreign nationals. My own take is a re-enchantment, although sign of it happening amongst the younger generation, is unlikely to happen at a scale that is needed to ward off the sub replacement fertility rates. And the countries that are supplying immigrants are themselves going to fall into population decline and dry up the supply. So the future for Europe is going to look a cross between South Africa and modern Sicily. Large parts of the countryside are going to depopulate and fall into poverty as we no longer provide health care or pensions. And the people who make up the declining population are going to be predominately from the global south with all the cultural traits you found in those countries."

"BRANDED 3:28 Thu May 23 Re: General Election - July 2024 Immigration really isn't the issue. Its a sub-issue of a wider problem, and the types of immigrants are likewise - but it's really not the problem. There are 9.2 million economically inactive Brits. 21.8% of the working population are not working, and not actively looking for work. Roughly speaking, there are 27 million dependents in the UK So, you have 33 million working people, paying for a total population of 68 million. Its completely unsustainable, and is the primary reason that we have a 'conservative' government placing the highest tax burden on people since the 70s. At a certain point in time its just very basic maths. Combined with the globo-homo agenda, meaning that where 30-40 years ago all the business & corporation taxes were paid by UK firms - now all the biggest firms are Globalists like Amazon who pay ZERO tax - we've got less than half our population propping everything up. Again, until someone has the balls to tell these companies to start paying taxes or fuck off out of the country - which would place 100s of thousands of jobs at risk - we're willingly leaving tens of billions of blackhole in our finances. There isn't anyone amongst the current lot who has the balls to do it, in part because they're all globalist cunts anyway."

If LAB can't beat this lot there is a real problem. Only way LAB don't get a MAJ is if a hell of a lot of people either don't vote or vote REFORM and take the vote away

"It’s a bit like Man City vs West Ham on Sunday. We knew we were going to lose but we hoped for a small defeat but some optimists thought we would win. The reality is Keir Starmer would need to have a dump on the the queens grave before flying an Israeli flag from the top of a mosque before he could lose. On another point, is Steve Bray mentally ill?"

This is where numpties like Braindead fail in being an astute British citizen‚Ķ.with your logic you are saying we should be paying the French an untold over the top amount of money to actually police their borders properly. If we don‚Äôt pay that extortionate amount then they are right in letting it be a free for all in crossing the channel. When are people in this country going to actually stand up for what should be a good relationship in preventing illegal gangs make money and cause death. Instead they take the cowards route of blaming this country for stepping away from the what turned out to be an extortion racket at the U.K‚Äôs expense. There‚Äôs only one nation being a cսnt here and it‚Äôs the French‚Ķ.in the main it always has been yet many on here will back their behaviour on border control one way‚Ķ..

We had no handle on migration figures pre-Brexit on account of EU Freedom of Movement. Now all immigrants (should) go through the official channels we have data we can work with.

"Net migration was higher than previously thought, hitting a record of 764,000 in 2022, according to the Office for National Statistics. Thanks Brexit. I think people will vote emotionally with no logic or rationality. Generally for the same party they always vote for who just help make things worse."

are labour going to win so clearly? its 325 seats they need for a majority? labour currently have 205 seats so need to turn about 120 or so. there are apparently 56 tory seats which have a 5% majority or less. to get all 120 seats you are winning about 50 or 60 seats with a swing of up to 10%.

"does anyone really care? two main parties that are exactly the same, and no viable alternatives. Labour will be the largest party by far, the only question is whether they can make the most of just about the biggest open goal in history or whether they'll fuck it up. Nothing will change until we get someone who is prepared to ask & tackle the difficult questions that continually undermine our position. Still, absolutely joyous to see someone who lives in the US saying the UK is fucked. We have many problems, but we're nowhere near their level yet."

"The post-Brexit reality for thousands of UK employers is that they no longer have access to a pool of east European slave labour. The post-Brexit reality for British people working, or seeking to work, in the EU is that they could now be asked for details about any criminal past they may have."

Hopeful have these Brexit wankers out of office. Hopeful start to make stronger bonds with EU and cut out a lot of this red tape for smaller businesses that has crippled them. This Tory government lied about Brexit as they haven’t really implemented it and what they have has been a big fuck up. I think they have sent one person to Rwanda and he did it under his own free will and 3K in his pocket .

"only1billybonds 12:10 Thu May 23 Will look out for it, thanks for the heads up. I like Abbot, was a no nonsense politician, upset a lot of people and got stabbed in the back by his own party become of it, but without his ruthless campaign and implementation of his tough immigration policy, Australia would be having the same issues the UK, USA and Europe now have. We had about 70 asylum seekers rock up in a boat recently, headline news, but they were rounded up and sent to a detention centre, no hotels and not allowed out, most decided to go home rather than sit for years whilst there applicants were processed. All down the Abbot, the other western countries should do similar as it sure stops the boats and illegal border crossings."

"H&P Access to a fund(one policy) is irrelevant. The numbers are what the numbers are. If the fund is so vital and beneficial and the EU still trails the UK on economic matters, then is stands to reason that without the fund the EU would be even more of a shit-show. Pure deflection on your part."
