"We seem to have an England v Bosnia thread but not an actual Euro 2024 thread so here it is So, do we realistically think England can win it? On paper we obviously have a very talented squad but I just don't see us going all the way. For me it's ""same old"" when it comes to England. Breeze the group, favourable draw in last 16 and win then up against far superior opposition in the QFs and out. At best I can see us at the SF stage before being beaten again. Winners for me: France, Portugal, Spain Dark horses: Germany - even though it's a home tournament they've been in a consolidation period, could go close Biggest flops: Scotland - no goals scored Top goalscorer: Mbappe I'm just hoping it's a decent tournament with plenty of decent games that's not ruined by VAR (are they using it?) consolidation period but could go close"

OK now no width at all. It;s not already crowded enough in there so why not bring on another CAM and hope for the best... There is ZERO tactical thinking behind this. He's just randomly decided on Palmer. Fucking Bellingham on the right. It's a total joke.

"Southgate’s football career is defined by a pizza advert after his bottle going in a penalty shootout, he’s now built a managerial career setting us up in a manner that screams penalty shoot out in any knockout stages."

"What a turgid first half. It feels like Southgate picked 11 random players from the pub. He's blind to the fact that 2 holding midfielders is absolutely useless against teams that sit back, but with the anonymous Gallager now replaced by Mainoo lets hope that changes?."

"I really like the man united kid, but bringing him on has changed nothing. does southgate actually know that winning the group makes it easier in the knock out rounds?"

So here we are seeing more evidence of just what a shit coach Southgate is. We’ve seen him fail time after time and he’s doing it yet again in real time. His media supporters have gone quiet and in some cases actually started to turn on him. The cowardly blazers at the FA have allowed him to fail for far too long. If I had my way he’d be gone in the morning. This team under Southgate is never going to win this tournament. As we can all see the man is far too much of a coward to win anything. Some of us had actually known this for some years. So fuck off Southgate you snivelling snowflake. Can’t wait to see how many PL teams want to hire you. Fuck all I expect

Ian Darke tells me England has the fewest touches in the opponent's box of any team in the tournament. Yikes. I see Southgate has them playing like absolute cowards again. Does he know they will not be able to back their way into the finals?

Foden looking our best player by a mile and the only one who looks like he could add anything creative. Yet he's stuck out on the wing where he can only have a limited impact. What is Bellingham offering as a 10 that he couldn't as an 8?

This is absolutely dreadful stuff. Look completely clueless against a bang average team. Utterly bereft of any idea going forward and playing at a snail's pace. Don't even look like hurting them and the balance s still totally wrong. Left flank is utterly embarrassing.

"Yep if we don't win today it's all Moyes fault FFS! it does appear that Southgate is a student of Moyes low-block theorems, would you not agree?"

"To be fair bad as they are looking today I'm not sure I'd fancy us against them. However I'd fancy us against Austria or France less. I think we really need to get the draw of third from E or F. IF we win the group. Which really isn't a given. If we don;t win the group, it's one and done in the knockouts and bye bye bignose and hopefully on to a manager who knows how to use the players he's got at his disposal. You'd hope several top managers would be gagging for the opportunity with the squad we have."

Danny Murphy ex Spurs like Modric of course When Jota scored for Portugal (later given as offside by Lukaku) he was very excited to see the Liverpool player score. Far more excited than for other goals Unprofessional
