I can't understand this blind faith that some have over the bloke and think everything will suddenly click into place when there's been nothing to suggest that's ever likely to happen.

His supporters will say he needs a transfer window to bring in his own players.  He's had a transfer window already, and brought in one of his old players.  How did that work out?  Why can't we judge him on that and have concerns about what players he's going to buy in the summer?

Why can't we judge him on the tactics he's trying to employ now?  Are we not going to play this way next season, or something?

Why can't we judge him on his man management skill now?  We've got players fighting each other, and breaking down on the pitch.  Why are they so sure that's not going to happen next season if we don't start off well?

Pfft! That's all small potatoes to Sullivan and the Slag as the most important thing to them, by far is their continued Premier League Membership that brings in the real dough. So sitting perched on 17th place raking in the big bucks is all that ultimately matters to them. Not bringing in relative pennies (to them) by the odd £3M extra a spot. All that's worth to them is a couple of extra crystal panthers, year's  supply of Ozempic and a new annual face and tummy lift. Not sure the 3m matters to him and in reality I don't care much about it either - not disputing the fact the obviously it would come in handy.

For me it's the embarrassment of being the shittest team not to get relegated.  To finish 17th this season is a massive failure for both Lopetegui for how we played in the first half of the season, Potter who has failed to improve our results (quite the opposite), and the man at the top who appointed both managers.

I don't want to take too much responsibility from the manager and players, but for me it does make me think about the conditions they are working under as to whether this is a real deep problem with the ownership and how the club is run from the top.

But looking at Potter more closely, I honestly thought he might be the one to give the youth players a chance, especially after a promising start and the noises he made.  But he is just as bad as everyone else we've had probably since Redknapp.  Our season is over, our players are massively under performing, there are players in the squad who could not give a shit and won't even be here next year, and yet this is now 3 games in a row where he's favouring players like Ings, Coufal, Rodriquez over giving the young players a chance.  Perfect opportunity missed once again.

Only a theory so could well be wrong but I wonder if the break clause is actually true at the end of the season depending on how well we perform in the 2nd half of the season? Which might explain the sudden whacky outbursts Partridge-style and rumoured falling outs and/or dropping of the likes of Fullkrug and Alvarez? He came in to the Club appearing like he couldn't do no wrong and all he had to do was impress enough to continue on with his long 2 year contract. But as the seasons progressed and the poor results and performances continued, the pressure got to him sensing he's royally fucked it up for himself and probably expects the clause to be activated?
