The funny actress from Schitt's Creek who played the receptionist/manager is given lines to say that make her seem more wooden than Pinocchio. Plus it's unrealistic and woke as fuck. Half the crew are women and in the very first scene we find out, for no discernible reason whatsoever, that one of them is in a same-sex marriage. In the first episode all the comms go down, so who do they send up a two hundred foot ladder in a dense fog and in a storm just to check if the magic radio switch is turned on? Yes, the smartest bloke on the rig and resident comms expert who is the person on board who you can least afford to die. Fucking hell it was bad."
