"Samjo. You can only play what's put in front of you. Serious question, who are we REALISTICALLY going to get in that will do better and play great football? What do you genuinely expect to have happened by the end of the season, league, domestic and European cups? Would this change if Moyes was to go?"

"Jim we play exactly the same as we did 2 years ago and we spent about 300m since then. It might have worked then but it for sure doesn't work now. We're unbeaten in 5 yes but who were the opponents? Below average european team x2, 2 relegation candidates and Wolves who are in terrible form."

Bet there are some posters on here absolutely salivating in terms of being able to criticise a defeat to Liverpool.

"The main critique towards Moyes for me is our slow starts to almost every PL game right now. 1st half invariably seem to be sleepy, wasteful, fumbling around only to come out 2nd half with a bit more urgency & will to actually score. I'm guessing it's over caution from the management (???) We have defensive issues right now so difficult to judge the team but I think Kehrer might go RB when we get a full defence back. Coufal & Johnson don't seem to be able to cross the ball."

"Mike Absolutely nothing. I am with you 100 percent that the aim of football is to win games and therefore we should set up to try and do just that. However, the title of this thread is Moyes Out and it seems that many on here and elsewhete agree with it. This to me is completely knee jerk and I think I have addressed why in my last post. Especially as its been rather quiet on that front after the recent wins"

"jim, what is knee jerking about wanting him to approach games in a positive manner? today against a team in horrible form and lacking in confidence, yet he sticks to five at the back and has seven men behind the ball for an hour. It's worse football now after ¬£180m spent, than the last two years. if it continues, all he will do is alienate these new players who'll either want away or their value (like haller, emerson, etc) will drop. I want this negative cսnt to want to win games, let the players express themselves before we go a goal behind. he's still picking a bloke in midfield who's been terrible all season, and I'm not buying the ""but he's tall, he was picked to win headers"" bollocks. downes has been superb in three starts yet is no nearer a league start than when he signed for us"

"Sorry Keep Dreaming, must have slept through the period we've pushed top 4 till the last few weeks. You considered sometimes you have to play to your strengths? Probably easy on Championship Manager but I don't know"

"Samjo. ""It's boring and predictable"". So is all the knee jerking when we don't win. Have the last few years been fantastic in terms of league position and Europe? Yes Can he dine out on that forever? Is he now untouchable? Absolutely not. Have we made a good start to the season in the league? No Is he going anywhere soon? No Even if he did, would we get anyone better? No, we would end up with someone like Sean Dyche."

"Grasshopper, if I was half the cսnt you become to be as the wannabe transfer guru then I would be ashamed. Type, Anon? Yeah, I'm a type thinking we are much better than what Moyes sets us up to be. Dreadful tactics over and over again. It's painful to watch sometimes. But happy clappers think differently I suppose. The difference between us is I don't call you out for your views, but you can't handle mine. If you think I care, think again."

Yes we did have Kehrer but he seems better in a back three add Johnson into it as a make shift centre back and you can see why he went with 3 And maybe thought we had enough in attack to win it which we almost did .

"However limited Soucek and Coufal may be, they played ok today. I'm sure the stats would bear thats out too. I think there are people on here who just want to have a 'hate' figure and complain about them every game. In fact we have nobody we could have put in their place to play their roles today. Kehrer and Johnson were makeshift centre backs and as for Soucek I'd agree it would be an opportunity to try Downes if we actually had anyone else who can head a ball. It was evident how poor our corners are when you only have Scamacca and Soucek that can really attack the ball in the air."

Jim how many games have you seen us dominate someone in the last few years under Moyes? We finally have some briliant players and every single game we set up not to lose. It's boring and predictable

"I think we have a mentality problem as when another team scores or we get into the second half of a game we start turning it on. I feel like we worry so much about conceding first that we concede first! Its a defeatist mindset. You cant play to protect a zero score line. Start the game like your 1 or 2 nil down! As for personnel, Coufal is a real issue. Just not good enough at the moment. In fact, both flanks seemed terrible until Benny came on. I like to think that Moyes knows Liverpool will rip us apart if we dont start on the front foot. Benny has to start and we really someone in the right who can beat players and cross. I'm happy we rescued a point though. Didnt think Fab put a foot wrong either so I cant see how Areola gets in ahead of him. If Areola had miles better distribution or was better on the ball and could act like a sweeper I'd be all for it. But dont see it at the moment, they seem equal to me."

"""The love for Soucek and Coufal is just weird.""ù Soucek yeah I agree though I feel he's close to being dropped now. But Coufal is now our 3rd choice RB and only playing because of a defensive injury crisis."

If anything having no cb's (which isn't true as we had Kehrer) means you have to go all out to get the result. Giving your opposition this amount of space when your defence consists of 4 fullbacks is simply ridiculous.

Maybe having no centre backs available made that decision but you carry on with your Moyes out routine . It was two points lost but we're starting to play better we've had a slow start but we're far from shit for fuck sake
