"Have we not seen the opposition have more of the ball in most games in the last the last couple of seasons, including wolves when we've beaten them in the past.."

"ioc, you can look into his previous tenures and see if any changes have been made there though seeing as I've never seen a team of his play on the front foot for a consistent period and be known as an attacking force...... ....historics does for Moyes....he gets found out....can't swap his mindset or tactics to be in possession of the ball.....\ ....unless you can prove that to be wrong, which I'd like tbh so we have hope...."

"One swallow does not make a summer and we have a along way to go and any other metaphor you want but... Of course there were slight improvements in performance: Scamacca got a chance and did a lot of what a striker is supposed to do including taking a goal nicely... Kehrer was moved, did well most of the game and it gave Dawson a chance to come in a do the same... Soucek improved in some area, Bowen improved in most... We turtled too soon and more changes could have been made and lots of tactical tweaks but the performance was tiny steps in the right direction Many more are needed and the jury is still out but you can't pretend a win and improvement is not the way to judge a manager. Unless you only want to take evidence from one side."

Has MOYES ever utilised the 5 sub rule yet?

"Russ Agreed Boleyn Agreed it was me of course with the Brighton comment. I love Fornals and Soucek. But to progress we have to attack more, our defence is still slow and trying to defend deep is no the tactic required.. Moyes got lucky again. He's also lucky that we are playing Fulham next.with almost certainly Mitrovic out injured. Then Southampton who will be getting desperate -they play City next-must win those 2 games. No excuses,9 on the bench will play against Anderlect so no tired legs. bring in Ashby and Coventry for some fresh legs and no one is playing to much"

The best way I can find to explain you can moan when we win is..... ....you should not have to pay very good money to watch the opposition have a vast majority of the ball.....especially at HOME or away. The only excuse to do this is if you actually WON something otherwise fuck it off nor lower your prices. ....I would like to add this is where modern football is a cսnt in that you have to use 'customer prices' to make a valid point.

exactly Russ. It was a must win game but that doesn't mean the performance was not important. That was not a win and a performance that give us confidence going into the next game. It's a win that just gives us a bit of breathing space and another week to do something about whatever it is that is going wrong at West Ham. Nothing about that performance makes you think we have turned a corner.

"boleyn8420 3:29 Sun Oct 2 I think your spot on mate. Its a really tough one because you don't want to be that moaner when we win. For me, positives were 3 points, it was a better performance, players looked more energetic and Rice and Bowen looked better. So does our league position. But the negatives are so hard to ignore. As you say, Wolves dominated the ball at our stadium. A poor and iinjury hit Wolves side. And, what is Moyes problem with Benrahma? He's been our most effective offensive player this year so far, yet he doesn't start. And even when there's a straight swap for Cornet, he ignores him and goes for Fornals who he knows is safe as he does all the dirty work. Yet, that's into a team with Rice and Soucek. Why do we need 3 workers in midfield? Sides like Wolves at home are there to be skinned. And we have the squad to do it. Yet Moyes just wants to nick a goal here or there and keep the shop closed. It was another dire performance and had they taken their chances we'd lost. And I think Moyes would've been gone today. Not their coach. So, great result. But too much other stuff going on that did little to sway my view that Moyes has lost his grip."

"I said all along he had to get a win vs Fulham and Wolves AND we had to see signs he was willing to change that starting line up and get a performance out of them to keep his job. I'm not a fan of this sit back and defend deep and let the other team have the ball etc and we'll get punished if we play like like that every week. It was an improvement however, a wins a win, a move in the right direction etc..... it's a results business ultimaetly and so, with a win against Fulham he'll keeping his job for now...."

Beat a very poor Wolves team with lots of injuries. If they had had a decent striker they would have won. Fulham will be more of a benchmark.

"For me he had two these two league games to keep his job. Not perfect but using the players we bought, replaced some players that were poor. Needs more but it was progress."

"Moyes got out of jail with the win yesterday against a very poor side who still had a good few chances to score , but a wins a win but can he keep it up."

"I get that some people don't like Moyes. I get that some feel he has taken us as far as he can and he has been fortunate. I get that people want him out. FFS we won yesterday, why not just enjoy that for a day before carrying on the whining. Would hate to see what this board would be like had we of lost."

"Sack him now. Most damning stat from yesterday that for 15 minutes of the first half a shit, so shit, side like Wolves had 85% possession. And 1-0 up Cornet is injured, Benny on the bench, straight swap. Nope already Moyes is thinking defend the lead, dont lose. Puts Fornals on. As someone said could you ever in a million years see a Moyes side attack a big side, actually any side at all, the way Brighton did at Anfield yesterday, no me neither. It was a dire performance, we did at least score two goals, but we were playing an even worse side in Wolves than ourselves. Sack him now."

IMO it's a simple remedy just push up we give the oposition far too much room to attack us. Push up Moyes and let the talent that we have dominate !!

Two good goals don't cover up how dire we have been going forward for about 10 month's Maybe Moyes needs to bring someone in to concentrate on that side of the coaching and the tactical game plan as it doesn't currently look like we have a clue We will beat Fulham next weekend however

"Yesterday's result has changed nothing for me in wanting him gone. It reaffers the situation that he has taken us as far as he can. Wrong subs again. Negative football. 11th at best. Already Newcastle,Man Utd and Brighton are better than us. Can you imagine Moyes playing like Brighton did at Anfield ?"

"Interesting logic but using it: however much the player will improve the team, he has to want to come. We have got one French outlet (that I am aware of) which has been parrotted by the glut of internet click-baiters. It said we have - ""tâté le terrain"" - literally, ""felt the ground"" but meaning ""tested the waters"" with Pochettino. Even from that one source there is no indication of any reciprocal interest. Even this board (hopefully) can't fire a manager without some indication of interest from the replacement."

"It's laughable that he admits we've had a problem scoring since January, then says we need our top scorers to start scoring again, which means picking the same fucking players. Any other top 7 club and the media would all be saying he has failed and should be replaced."

"By Moyes own logic he should be sacked now. On buying players, for 2 yrs Moyes has stated that he will only buy players that improve on the team. If they improve then they have to replace a current player. Pochittino is available right now and would improve the team. There is no loyalty to players when better ones come along. Why should there be for managers?"
