"Eminently forgettable game with most of our creative talent missing, BUT - 4 successive clean sheets 10 points out of 12 Still 6th (sixth) Man U down to 8th I'd have bitten your arm off for that before the Wolves game."

At half time I was on a high ready to give such credit for a compact performance. But it all fell apart with that inexplicable substitution. What was the strategy? When he brought Mumbama on he took off our main creative conduit in Benhrama. At least take Fornals off. It was illogical and it brought pressure on to us and we sat back on the back foot hanging on for dear life. That substitution was unnecessary as it handed them control and they bossed it from there. F’king brainless illogical stuff and this is why we need a change in coach and accompanying strategy. He’ll be happy with a point but how we didn’t lose 0-3 from minute 70 on is baffling and simply put we rode our luck. We are on a road to nowhere with these tactics.

"What an utter shit-show, particularly second half. We just about held our own first half but those last 25 minutes were very worrying. Not only were we unable to string more than two passes together to bring the ball out of defence, what's even more worrying was the complete lack of heart, drive and ambition. Moyes should be embarrassed by that. Yes, we badly missed Paqueta and Kudus, but that's no excuse. Benny offers very little and as for Fornals, the bloke was playing for Spain 2 or 3 years ago - wtf has happened to him?"

We were VERY lucky to get a point there. I won't even begin on the performance in the 2nd half. Terrible.

"Point is more than we deserved so will take that, seemed like Brighton and Hove Albion had more players than us the way they passed the ball around with ease. We on the other hand were chasing shadows for much of the second half."

That’s their first clean sheet this season. And we never did look like scoring apart from Souceks glaring miss from six yards. Moyes should be ashamed of serving up such negative tripe. It’s the paying punters I feel sorry for. Why are they putting up with it?

"A point thanks to mainly Areola… They could hav had 5… We might have scraped 1… Without our 2 stars we will struggle to win many games… Team tried hard,,,but mainly second best all over…except keeper…"

"Whatever your views on Moyes, whether you think pre-game a point was a good result or not, there is no argument whatsoever that in a wide open game, he, against a team with zero clean sheets all season, for the last 25 minutes he took off our most effective attacking outlet, sent on a kid to chase around starved of any service and made us bank up and pray for a point, and that is exactly why people will never get on board."

"That was diabolical. Standoffish, limp, uncreative and essentially a group of players who don’t have the technical capacity or capability for Premier League football. Bowen needs quality around him. He was embarrassingly poor tonight. Like his early days here. Difficult to understand how Cornet, Cresswell, Benrahma and Fornals have any right to still be at the club in 2 weeks time. Time to get to work and do it sharpish!"

"Left early due to last train from Victoria to Soith Coast at 10.25 only one team wanted to win that game, pretty sure that some that don't have a 12 hour round trip & watch from the warmth of their lounge will say we played well and enjoyed the game."

"I'd have taken a point at the beginning of this given the circumstances. The match was more or less what I expected. A bit lucky not to lose and a bit unlucky not to win, so a draw is a fair result. It was turgid, slow and wasteful in their half, but that's going to happen without your 2 best play makers. Go the Cape Verde!"

"Disappointing, that was very winable. Played well in the first half. Hate to say it, but we were much better with Benramha. With the slightly change formation and Mumbama up front our attacking was poor."

Proper boring that. A very good point considering we didn’t want to play any football and they couldn’t finish multiple clear cut chances. Moyes will be happy with that.

"Bloody awful game, Areola earned us a point. As others have said cornet must have really pissed Moyes off. Shows how threadbare the squad is on quality outside the ideal first eleven."

On the plus side we have taken 4 points off Brighton this season which i would have taken that at the start of the season. Now to get some points off Brentford. Other than that the 2nd half today was fucking dreadful.

"Awful performance tonight, Moyes will see that as a moral victory though. Thought Alvarez was solid in the middle again, but we are down to the bare bones with just a a few players missing. Moyes should have sorted this a long time ago. I’ll give him the credit when we do we’ll, but he is responsible for us having a paper thin squad. Mubama is a long way from first team quality imo."

It's games like that which makes me empathise some what with the anti-Moyes brigade.

we'd do well just to run to the corner and gratefully accept the point we barely deserve instead of giving the the ball back to them every 3 passes

Mubama doesn’t seem to read the game well at this level. He doesn’t hound defenders properly either. It’s odd. I expected a bit more…

"We’re hanging on here. We give them so much time on the ball, it’s like a training game. When we do win it back by some fluke we’ve got fuck all idea what to do. There’s zero options for the man on the ball."
