Mubama

"Let's face it. He was awful when he came on last night. Supporters clamber for youngsters to be given a chance, but they must seize their opportunities and prove their worth when given game time. Mubama fluffed his lines last night. He's clearly not good enough. Looks like a League 1 level player to me."

"Given the limited opportunities he gets, I would expect him to be busting a gut when he's on the pitch to show Moyes why he should be selecting him. I have not seen that to date."

"The one thing i have noticed about him and it could be nerves and trying to do to much in these 10-20 minute cameo roles he's had, but his touch is poor, the ball seems to bounce off of him. Agree with others on here in those cameo roles he's had he has almost no service, almost nothing down the channels to run on to, that allows him to use his pace and size and no decent crosses from out wide to use his height and strength. Shame really"

"I tend to agree that he isn’t good enough, but he was hardly given any opportunity to prove me otherwise last night. He came on just as Moyes decided 0-0 against Brighton is an exceptional result and that we wouldn’t try to venture over the half way line. Cornet is a curious case. He hasn’t pulled up any trees, sure, but in a poor Burnley side playing up front he scored goals. If he isn’t going to get a chance last night in those circumstances, he never is. May as well not even name him on the bench."

What a crock of Shite . He was given no support upfront whatsoever. He was a lone striker against 3 centre Half's Bowen was shattered and couldn't help him . He might well not be good enough. time will tell . But to judge a player on 20 minutes is harsh .

They loan them out to lower league sides to get them ready physically not technically

"Manuel 1:57 Wed Jan 3 Agreed and frankly whilst Moyes is still here it;s irrelevant how well you do. Look at Downes in the Championship right now, will he come back and get in the side ahead of Soucek, no chance."

"fraser -- You're right that you never know, but I really don't see how loaning him out to a league 1 side is going to get him ready for the PL? Even if he did well it really wouldn't count for much once he comes back since the step up is so big. I appreciate he needs game time but I've never been convinced loaning out players to lower leagues is the answer, think the best way is for them to stay and develop at the club, but obviously then it's limited game time. It's really tough either way."

"Ridiculous to write him off given the total lack of opportunity. Chased shadows for 15 mins - we couldn't get out of own half and he's getting slagged off haha. The time to give him 20/30 mins - is when we're two nil up at home - whilst the creative players are still on the pitch. Let him get on the ball, with options to lay it off to - let him get in the box when we've got players on the pitch who can deliver a final ball"

"If you're going to judge a player on brief cameos, especially under Moyes, that is majorly harsh in my opinion. He was brought on with Moyes playing for the draw last night. He recieved no service, in fact from the time he came on we were playing hoof ball. Think it's hard to say either way. What was clear last night is the power of playing youngsters regularly, as Brighton showed (poor finishing aside)."

Not seen anything that indicates he's anywhere near ready... But you never know. A loan would be the best thing for him now.

Yes it’s always best to give your attack minded youngsters a go when 2 of your best attacking players are not playing and take off the better performing replacement….going to be bundles of chances when you are also asked not to stretch the defensive formation to keep the shape…..judge him when he gets given clear cut chances to fuck up….

"Probably a bit harsh to start a thread on this, but since he won't be reading then yea it's hard to disagree. He's not going to make it in the PL, at this point I'd actually give him no chance, no point in letting sentiment cloud your judgement, what is he meant to be good at exactly? just looks like a lumbering bit of lard to me, but hopefully he can have a decent career in the lower leagues."

bit harsh given he came on and spent most of his time defending the 18 yard box.

"Not ready .... if he will ever be Should go out on loan in January and get some games as bits and pieces at this level is achieving nothing. Suspect it would be at League 1 level Hopefully we are finding a proper striker in January, Antonio can be the back up and Ings is shifted"

I tend to agree. The few opportunities he's had this season he hasn't really added much to the team. Doesn't even seem to run as much as the much older Antonio.
