Reacher is a decent watch as long as you don't take it to seriously.

Will have a look at 'Mobland' and 'This city is ours' over the next week or so.

Very very late on this one but am loving House of Cards. Kevin Spacey is a superb actor and he and his (screen) Mrs really do play their parts fantastically well.

About the beginnings of football and professional football based on history, actual characters and Teams who were the pioneers
I never knew that professional football started up North, mainly Lancashire, and that the FA along with the rules were founded by the elite amateurs from London & the Home counties.

Not a documentary, well worth a watch!

Did they not push the recent emerging narrative it was invented in Scotland? That will piss them off. Good.

The first professional players were Scots bought down to Lancashire to play for Darwen FC.
Maybe that's what they meant.

Adolescence was excellent.
Was shot like a horror movie the way the camera followed the characters  tension all the way through from start to finish.

The final scene is harrowing, was still thinking about it the next morning. Not ashamed to say it brought tears to my eyes, moreso the next morning.
I have a young son so it resonated with me.

The scariest thing is im hearing that they've commissioned at least another 3 seasons which means we aint getting any answers anytime soon

I may be wrong mate, but I think they've renewed for a third series rather than three more series.

With you on that Jim, gone from having an interest in the characters, to not really giving a fuck anymore.

Finished Reacher yesterday, so started on Severance.
People seem to be raving about it and whilst I found the first episode intruiging, fucking hell, was it slow.
Anyone on here persevered? Is it worth carrying on with it?

Anyone watched This City is Ours with Sean Bean, 8 part series about drug dealers in Liverpool?

And 'Mobland' on the way, a Guy Ritchie turnout with Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy.

Some of the other ingenuity they used to create the episodes is equally impressive so I'd strongly recommend watching some of the behind the scenes footage on YouTube.
Stephen Graham seems to have a hard on for white working class  male bashing.

Is there anything on TV Steven Graham isn't in these days?

Since this is only 3eps, I gave it a go and yes first episode really good. Ridley Scott did it.
Scrap that, it's 8 episodes.

I couldn't agree more mmg, Adolescence was fantastic. I sat down to watch one and ended up watching all four in one go which is really unusual for me.

What a feature of film making eh? Having done my fair share of shooting video I usually watch a program and work out how they shoot stuff but not here, I just watched it with my jaw on the ground. ONE take? No crafty editing? Fucking amazing.

In one scene they are walking around a school full of children (I read that every adult in the scene was a production assistant who literally pulled kids around from classroom to classroom when the camera wasn't on them) the detective eventually leaves and goes to his car and has a talk with his son then the camera takes off and follows the car from above then diverts to the scene of the murder, drops down straight into Steven Graham's tear stained face as he puts flowers down.

All the stuff in the school was done with a steadicam but obviously when he's in his car some clever fucker has swapped the steadicam out for a drone while the camera was STILL FILMING and did the same at the other end at the murder site. Not only is that mind blowing camera work but it's also brilliant choreography.

Oh yes, the story is great too!

Does anyone remember E05 of SE01? . The Farmhouse shoot out. As summed up by IMDB

""Arguably the greatest episode of action TV ever. Episode 5 takes it to the next level. Cinematic Style action and bloodshed that really does crank it up to max, seriously think John Woo or even Sam Peckinpah it really is that good.''

It's bloody good.
Yeah, that episode is great. Far, far better than anything else in the series. You can tell it was directed by the bloke who did the Raid films. He actually has a new film out on Netflix next month, called Havoc, starring Tom Har
Yeah Gareth Evans. Gangs of London Season 3 has started well.

Must say I am two episodes in to Reacher 3 and despite the hammy acting and cliche written dialogue I am enjoying it.  Bit of useless trivia, the character Zachary Beck is played by  Anthony Michael Hall who was the geeky kid in 80's films such as National Lampoon's Vacation, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club.

I don't think you can do that any more. Thanks for trying, though :)
