"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

What a shit game. How disappointing. Only way this picks up is if this rapper bloke tells Trump to get fucked but it looks like he’s miming.
This halftime show is befitting of the game.

Can’t recall ever seeing Mahomes being this flustered.

Couple of shocking penalty calls so far, 2nd one was as if they knew they'd fucked up and cost the eagles a TD so gave them a dodgy one to even it up.
Still, fuck the chiefs.

Rodgers free to sign with another team in March but go with a post June 1st designation to save cap money, I wonder if anyone will take him
Yeah, Glenn was never going to retain Rodgers while trying to put his stamp on his new side. The QB is just too big an ego and presence. A new HC wasn’t going to keep a guy who, at most (and aged 41), had one year left.
The cap move is sensible, to mitigate his guarantees. There will be a cost, but it’s the right thing to do. His injury last season ruined the high-risk trade. Should never have done it. But that’s the Jets for you.
Hopefully, Glenn and Moug can start changing the culture.

I think the key battle is between the Eagles O-line and Chiefs D-line.
If the Eagles can set Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts open for the run that is the game.
I agree. But it’s going to be a good match-up, that. While all the attention has been on Mahomes and Kelce etc, the Chiefs’ defense as been very good this season.

it's like picking between Aids & Leprosy, I hate the pair of them, but that gimmick fucking play that the eagles use will probably sway me towards the Chiefs. Mahomes was pretty classy during the week when asked about Daniels, so I hope Reid gets his hat trick of wins
Agree completely. Hate that poxy play, they can shove it up their arses. I hope they lose trying to do it.

No fucking way can I cheer on Philly. And the Chiefs are rapidly becoming as boring and protected as the Patriots. Can’t see pass Kansas. But can see Barkley getting the MVP. Either way.
GO G MEN.

SB weekend. It all felt like an inevitable drift towards this game.
So, who wins?

Joe, I hope he ends up in Vegas. We need someone like Myles Garrett, he'll make far more difference than DK

TM - I’m seeing reports you’re prepared to trade big with us to get DK Metcalf.
Could work out well for both - he’s a great player right in the prime years, but we need to move on with our rebuild and he would free up a lot of cap space. With Smith-Njigba and Charbonnet coming through I think we’re well covered to replace him. You’ll love him in DC
Reckon we’ll move on from Geno as well

the ones criticising the wilks hire are clueless, that's a great pick. don't know much about the OC, but it's worth celebrating hackett moving on. well done glenn
It will be interesting now what he does with rodgers
Yeah, I tend to agree, TM. Glenn will want his defense to play his way, and he’s mates with Wilks. So I suspect between them they’ll give the side a strong defensive character. Wilks’ experience will help a new HC, too.
Don’t know much about the OC. But he was rated by Johnson and Campbell in Detroit - and jumped at the chance to carry on working with Glenn. So, good signs. They feel like a proper coaching team/unit. And Hackett has gone, which is a relief!

Aaron Glenn has pretty much completed his backroom staff. Some really good choices, some a bit marmite and could go either way.
He didn’t get his first choice OC, which would have been Nick Caley from the Rams. So, instead, he stole yet another Detroit coach - and nabbed their passing game co-ordinater.
Some have criticised the appointment of Wilks as DC, given he failed as a HC. But if Glenn is hands-on as a defensive coach anyway, then it might not matter. So I’m sanguine about it. Plus, we could do with some experience on a young coaching staff.

I hate the Cowboys, but that press conference is painful. Complete silence as Jones & Son are introduced to the media, then polite applause for the new HC. You have to feel sorry for Schottenheimer, especially when the cranky narcissist Jerry comes out with "This is as big a risk as you could take", while pointing at his new head coach. Most mental introduction ever, never seen anything like it and we had 25 years of Snyder's bullshit

Sounds like the Bills gave it a good go against the Chiefs.
