----------------------------------------------------------

Well after the disaster of Monday at Brentford, the thought of more West Ham in the same week is enough to put anyone in a bad mood.  The 'pros' always talk about wanting to get bad games out of their system quickly, and this gives them that opportunity, but also sets up a horrible start to the weekend for the rest of us!

Teamwise, Mavro is out with what looked a nasty hamstring injury.  Fullkrug is still broken, and Earthy remains unfit.  Otherwise the rest of the squad are fit from a health perspective....maybe less so from a 'wear the shirt' angle.

Nuno's logic for his inverted fullbacks it's been revealed was to try and counter Brentford's inverted wing thread, by showing them onto the defender's strong foot...the less said about the success of that the better.  And it struggles to explain Irving and Soucek in the pivot, beyond maybe 'they're both tall'.

Anyway, hopefully that's the last of the experimentation and we can revert to what at least appears a bit less shit.  Wouldn't surprise me to see him go with a back 5 in this game though (and what I'll assume for my predicted XI).

Predicted lineup:
Areola

Wan Bissaka    Kilman     Igor
Summerville                                            Diouf
Magassa Fernandes Paqueta

Soucek

Bowen
Subs: Hermansen, KWP, Todibo, Scarles, Potts, Irving, Guilherme, Wilson, Marshall

The squad is now a real quandary.  We don't have a good CB pairing...Todibo looks hopeless, Kilman and Igor both left footed, with one an unknown and the other weak as the senior CB.  Mavro was signed to be 3rd choice, but he's suddenly the most important man in the back line...a problem in itself.

Summerville is a must have...the only true pace in the side so leaving him out can't be compromised.  If 3 at the back and 3-4-3 was viable, not a problem....but once again we don't have a midfield with a logical two-man pairing.  Add in that Bwoen and Soucek are the only goals, and Paqueta is the only real 'vision' and we are in a bad place with a squad that don't work in combination.

So will he gamble on a bad back two, an untried midfield pair, or leave out one of the 'key' players in Soucek, Bowen, Paqueta, and Summerville.

And as for playing a real striker....

Predicted Score: Leeds 2 : 0 West Ham.

Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

We're much worse than we were a month ago.

They talk about players "buying in to a managers tactics" in making it work and Nuno has given them fuck all to believe in and who could blame them. Not one single Fan amongst us would ever buy in to that kind of reckless management. So the players do get a bit of sympathy there, although not in other ways.

4-4-2 is a suicidal formation these days in the Prem. Huge spaces all over the park in particular centrally. Can't afford to have 2 up top and leave the rest to it with wide wingers hugging the touchline.

Scarles, Wan-Bissaka, Summerville, Diouf, Paqueta all out of their natural positions, even Bowen aint an out an out Striker doing his best work as a right Forward.

If this really is the way Nuno wants to go about it all, then he can fuck right off out of it. He weren't even prepared to learn from the last disastrous match doing much the same moronic decision making.

We were 2 nil down before we went 442.

Nope the commentators mentioned it from the off as did my eyes see it too.

It's one thing going down but it's another thing going down without a whimper and with a manager sabotaging the team.

This is why no hope Nuno the numpty should be sacked tonight for gross misconduct with his mental team selections for the last two games.

We need a fixer in. Pay Fat Sam whatever it takes to get him out of retirement. It's that bad.

And the good news is that the manager didn't find any reason to make any changes!

Is that comment meant to protect Soucek?

Was no worse than any other manager at Spurs around that time, and did the double in Saudi.

Clearly not a fraud or as bad as you lot are saying.
Even Loppy had a good record before joining us, and Potter never looked as bad as he did with us.

No excuse for the shambles of the  last 2 games, but there are clearly deep underlying problems at the club due to Sullivan's long term incompetence that has finally cought up with him.

Yes you are right but what sort of manager plays a left back at right back and a right back at left back not once but twice and it doesn't work on either occasion?

Especially when one is Scarles who is pretty awful in his correct position. This cսnt Nuno needs to explain himself tonight. If I dont see a striker on at halftime I might fucking lose my mind.

They’re both very poor.

Irving is just not a top-level player. Soucek used to be.

Its  mental whats happening. Honestly anyone off the street could have a picked better team tonight.

All they had to really sign this summer was a pair of competent CB'S nothing fancy, just being able to head and defend corners. Its like jack and beanstalk selling the cow and coming back with fucking magic beans.

4 managers and the well isn't deep enough for our decline.

Of course it isn't the managers fault, even if their selections look screwed.

It's 5 years of bad player recruitment biting the clubs arse.

A new defence and a new midfield could fix things, but that would cost 150m more than Sullivan is willing to pay.

Only hope is a major overhaul after relegation is mathematically sure.

By overhaul I mean 12 new players, new owners and new staff

Bye bye

Absolutely amateurish stuff until the Wilson > Scarles sub.

Bit better since but I don't remember seeing a more ridiculously unsuitable PL midfield two than Soucek and Irving.

Fucking awful for about 30min, at which point we were 2-0 down and Nuno was forced to take Scarles off.

since then we’ve been hopelessly trying to get back into it.

Kilman is shit but I think I hate Todibo more.

Probably worse mate. Selection awful, is this bloke after a payout already ? Everton away we looked half decent at times and he changed everything. Midfield is just atrocious. Reminds me of villa years ago they floated down the bottom for ages signing badly until they finally went down. Got new owners who knew what they're doing and now look at them compared to us. We are a basket case
