Running a bit late on this one, but I'll keep it brief.  I've a sneaky feeling we beat Villa.  Not overly impressed by them man for man, they've had an away trip in Europe, and it's a lot of travelling.  Plus with the Bonds memorial pagentry, the whole ground should be up for giving someone a kicking.

Reckon Nuno reverts to a 4 for this game.   Not sure what's happened to Luis after a nice cameo vs Liverpool

January can't come quick enough.  Need to be able to bring on quality attacking players and not Soucek and bloody Rodriguez. 

The result today isn't about failings by the Manager, or player effort. Purely about a lack of quality in the squad, which is on Moyes, Steidten, Lopetegui, Potter, and Sullivan.

Lack of forward planning with the squad or any concept of renewal/replacement has left us in a desperate place.

What was bringing on Rodriguez bringing to the party 

Gutted. Decent performance against a very good team.

Bit concerned about losing diouf and AWB. Just as we've started to get things together. 

Not 1 word said from the commentators on that stamp on Magassa and not one word said on the tug on fernades shorts before our goal was ruled offside

I think we’ve played well against a very strong Villa team. Our problem is that we simply don’t have enough quality.  If we’re not careful we’re going to be cut adrift very soon and the January window will have come too late.

Soucek and and Kante and Rodriguez on for Jimmy and Potts and Paqueta.

Fresh legs is about the most you can say about those subs .Soucek last minute special? 

Those subs WILL weaken us but look at our bench.

These are supposedly the most in-form team in the league , yet they're blagging this.

I'll be interested to see how we do without Diouf as I'm not totally convinced he's not a liability more than a positive.

Great timing from alf

IMO this has been a good performance by us today regardless the result. Entertaining, decent passages of football, goal threat. Dangerous ball carriers in Summerville and Bowen, academy product in Potts. Decent energy in midfield.

Keep playing like this and we'll win games. They're the best team in the league on form and we've gone toe to toe.

Rogers is a great plYer. He’s been winning games for them last few weeks.

Paqueta’s indiscpline guving them a gift early 2nd half has cost us but we cant keep a clean sheet and are dreadful at home Thats rrlegation form

They will pick us off in the counter now and look at our bench
