Well in the post-Christmas haze, we gear up for a game that is absolutely massive.

The first of a run of 6 matches that will determine if we're in the fight to stay up, or prepping for the Championship, West Ham host Fulham in what really is a must win.

Whilst the visitors have had a poor start to the season, they're an established side that know what they're doing, have a manager who has firmly embedded his way of playing on the Club with an enviable attacking outlook, and they played us off the park in recent times.

West Ham no longer have Fullkrug for a selection option with his deal to Milan sewn up. Diouf and Wan Bissaka remains away at AFCON, but other than that there are no lingering injuries or selection issues, although Scarles was withdrawn in precaution in the last game.

Predicted LineUp.
Areola

KWP. Mavropanos. Todibo. Scarles

Magassa

Fernandes.  Paqueta

Bowen.           Wilson.       Summerville
Subs:Hermansen, Myers, Kilman, Potts, Rodriguez, Irving, Soucek, Earthy, Marshall

Predicted Result:

West Ham 2 - 1 Fulham
(Bowen, Paqueta pen)

A win feels a long time ago, and I don't expect this to be a pretty performance but more in hope than expectation think we'll scrape this over the line....more because of how desperately we need it.

Other than Wilson and a rare Soucek moment, what else we got on that bench? So few options to change games. Might as well bung Mavro up there to just be a nuisance.

Why would you even mention Guido and Soucek? They don't add anything.
But you are right, the squad (or the lack of it) is our downfall...

We are so shit we even struggle to beat a Team that's fielding some random geezer called Kevin plucked out the crowd. No doubt a Sunday League ringer on 40 a day Rothmans enjoying a run out against us.

Yep, loved that with the cameras picking it up beaming them beauties around the globe in high definition embarrassment for BS. Enjoyed watching Sullivan and his Trannie squirming uncomfortably on their perches as the red cards were waved whilst chanting Sack the Board. 👏

Agreed. Absolutely pointless playing him.

Put Paqueta left wing and let Bowen play his natural role running at players. This game is suited to Wilson too.

Fulham are out-passing and outshooting us at Home. I'm sorry, I'm struggling to see how that half was acceptable/not a bad half. Agreed about Earthy, as well as Wilson to give us a tiny bit of hope.

Fucking wank. You have that fox in the box Wilson starting this game, he grabs and scores at least 1 of those gilt edged chances that fell to the likes of Summerville or Magassa. That's the fucking difference he brings but oh no, Crackhead thinks he's so smart and clever leaving him out as we go in without scoring.

As for Paqueta, it doesn't matter wher you plonk him on the pitch, he's mostly ineffective relying on his diving much as Summverville does to during games. Both flakey wasteful lightweight players that gift the opposition the ball back in dangerous areas of the pitch.

Potts I think is having a decent game actually trying to force the issue with some lovely forward passes, crossfield balls to try and open the pitch up for us. That's supposed to be Paqueta and Fernandes job in attack.

We got no cutting edge. Totally reliant in Bowen because no one else can get a shot off or control it in their box it seems let alone score. Just dont see where a goal cones from other than a bit of Bowen individual brilliance. And remember we always give up a gilt edge chance or two ourselves. So far game going along the very frustrating draw scenario.

We’re not doing too badly, but it almost feels like we’re playing without a recognised striker.

Pretty even game - we lack a bit of presence up front and threat from the left.

Not a lot between these teams.

50/50 match so far.
We haven't been awful, but no end product. But what did we expect ..?

I would haul off Paqueta and add Wilson. That should be enough to nick a goal or two

I've lost count of the number of balls played into the box in recent games for for an imaginary No 9 who's almost always on the bench, You cannot make up this level of incompetence. Nuno is a despicable cսnt.

Another fucking theatrical fall from Paqueta. Could have been dangerous if the ref didn't give him a free kick.
