"Absolute nonsense, Kenneth. You hate the West - no wonder you don’t get what Zelensky and Ukraine are fighting for."

"'There needs to be a ceasefire and Elenskiy needs to get the fuck out of there and let some adults deal with this now.' Exactly my take. His Time article that painted him as deluded should be warning enough. Like Cameron after Brexit. Once the writing is on the wall, it's best to leave. Not sure how championing a war paid for by the US, that is resulting in failure, is somehow a victory because of EU candidacy. Especially on an election ticket of bringing peace to the Donbass? I'm guessing Zelensky isn't so chipper about such a long game win?"

So in your opinion it was a price worth paying?

Zelensky has already achieved one of Ukraine’s main objectives - EU candidate status. Meanwhile the capacity of the Kremlin to send young men to their death without limitation may well soon be tested.

Not sure how you can infer this from my post. You need to find some new sources to understand what is going on out there. There needs to be a ceasefire and Elenskiy needs to get the fuck out of there and let some adults deal with this now.

Sorted- this is proof you are a total fanatic who actually believes the Kremlin has won this war.

"Pickle you need to find some new news sources. Russia is still fulfilling its stated objectives, they have never changed. The west have lost already, but are determined to keep this going as not enough Ukrainians have died for these bastards yet. It needs to stop now! I also hope Ukraine joins the EU, and Georgia, Moldova and Bosnia. The sooner they do, the sooner the whole rotten edifice gets pulled down."

"What about the Kremlin’s victory then saddo. You clearly serve it, so tell us all about how well the Kremlin is doing in this war."

"Anybody who says Ukraine/the west has had a victory after Ukraine has lost between 250,000 and 500,000 of its people and 20-25% of its territory is not just stupid, but evil. This could have been resolved early last year or even earlier if the Minsk agreements were entered into honestly. Sick fuckers."

"Yes Ukraine’s corruption problem is your best hope, isn’t it Kenneth."

As much of a win as that is. Turkey are EU candidates. They aren't at war. They aren't seen as corrupt.

"The Ukrainians have been accepted as candidates to join the EU, something that hitherto was beyond their reach. Make no mistake, this is a victory for Ukraine and the West and a defeat for the Kremlin."

"riosleftsock 11:03 Fri Nov 10 Indeed. I expect NATO technology and more importantly tactics will be vastly improved on the back of this conflict. What will need to be focused on more will be production. In the last few months North Korea have sent more artillery than the EU promised for a calender year. NK may struggle to maintain that level, but who knows? As for Ukraine's EU membership - It's not going to happen while in conflict. Zelensky nor Ukrainians will accept a peace deal that concedes anything to Russia. Unless the US intervene again, and force an election where they can put in someone to carry out a peace deal, then that is where a stalemate truly lies."

Oh really? What trade arrangements were these? But of course it was exactly the intention to join the EU and NATO that the KGB mob could never accept.

"Russia was prepared to accept Ukraine joining the EU Pickle as long as it respected the trade arrangements that Ukraine had with Russia. This is where the Poroshenko govt got into trouble. Ukraine as you knew it, will never join NATO as a full member unless you want a full-blown european war."

"Ukraine, along with Moldova, has now been accepted as a candidate to join the EU. This is exactly what they have always wanted and why they have been attacked by the Kremlin. They’ll join the West and Russia will just suffer as long as it is ruled by the KGB mob."

"Jaan I fear you are correct. Zaluzhny's comments were particularly interesting, his point about tech advantage is correct. While artillery and armour remain important, its a drone war whenever you want to go on offensive. Its intriguing that Russia has managed to get ahead in terms of EW counter-measures, but I expect the west to catch up, possibly as a result of Ukrainian innovation (necessity being the mother of invention)"

"Looks like Ukraine is pretty much fucked now. According to recent reports, they are short on troops. Zaluzhny claims NATO doesn’t have any current technological advantage to make an impact. Zelensky denies Zaluzhny’s claims of a stalemate, even though the counter offensive was a complete dud. With time and money running short the EU are trying to rush a legal claim to frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine’s rebuild, but with no peace deal that’s not likely to be of any use and many Ukrainian’s that have been displaced are likely never to return either. It’s looking like it’ll be a forever frozen hell hole at this point."
