Rios That last paragraph is a bit unfair. Every country occupied by the Nazis had SS regiments (Including a British group from POW camps) Belarussians and Russians co-operated with the death squads razing villages behind the front lines. Many of those who joined the German military (HIWIs) did so for anti-communist reasons. Ukraine was just another country among many where bad things happened.

In fact its disgusting that you attempt to project this onto anybody. Nobody has said that all Ukrainians are Nazis, nobody on here suggests that Ukraine is a nazi state either. You've tried to project this argument to distract from some of the less attractive but blatantly unpleasant aspects of the Ukrainian govt. If you are familiar with the history of Babyn Yar (massacre of jews and others in ukraine in WW2 and the willing involvement of Ukrainian waffen SS volunteers) you might find it distasteful that they have renamed one of the main roads on its approach ""Stepan Bandera Ave"""
