The French original is excellent.

"The original French version of The Upside was called Untouchable or The Intouchsbles in France. Not to be mistaken for The Untouchables. It is an excellent film. I haven’t seen the US remake but I’m going to guess that it is a poor imitation. Not because I am a film snob or anything, but it probably is."

"Manuel 4:25 Sat Jul 24 The Upside is brilliant, a great film. The ""critics"" apparently prefer the original which is French I believe, but I'll stick with Cranston and Hart!"""

"Sold - have you seen The Upside With Kevin Hart also Bryan Cranston, Nicole Kidman. It's pretty good. I watched Dream Horse - It's a true story, so it is what it is, but found it a bit meh."

Saw Fatherhood last night with Kevin Hart. Really enjoyed it actually and Hart is decent in a more serious role but young Melody Hurd steals every scene she is in. An easy watch.

"Fast and Furious was OK, the story line was pretty good but the action scenes were a bit far fetched."

"Went to see the documentary Summer of Soul the other day about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival where concert footage has sat on a shelf for 50 odd years. Unbelievable performances .... Stevie Wonder, BB King, Mavis Staples , Mahalia Jackson, Sly & The Family Stone, Nina Simone etc etc"

Watched Black Widow the other night and was pleasantly surprised. I actually thought the standard movie action stuff was boring but the non action dialogue was fun. Becoming a major fan of our Florence Pugh. She’s going to be massive. And she’s shocked up with the Scrubs guy. Oh dear.

"Jaan Kenbrovin 2:27 Sun Jul 11 Re: 2020 Movies (now including 2021) Werewolves Within is quite good. I thought that too, a really frenetic film that goes at 100mph, exactly the kind of shit that I want to watch at the moment. Gunpowder Milkshake was good too for the same reasons. Don't trust my word on it though, remember that I have covid and have lost my sense of taste!"

"Thought Molly's Game was decent, but was 20 mins or so too long. The Quiet Place Part 11 - Enjoyed it, and better than the first one for me. Who says that sequels are never better!?"

"RBshorty 2:21 Sun Jul 11 Thanks, looked like a lot of money was spent on it in CGI and names but little in the way of sensible writing. I usually like a bit of time travel but this was more Time Drivel"

DukeofDevo. 1:18 That was the one thing.(No pun.) That made it passable. The bosses at Paramount must be thanking the money gods at Amazon. They got £600 million for Coming 2 America. No remorse. And. The Tomorrow War. No matter how much money. CGI. And star names. You sprinkle on it. You just can’t polish a turd. Or in this case. A pile of shit.!

"Mad Dog 1:26 Sun Jul 11 Yep, agree. Big negative - Ray Winstone as the worst villain Marvel have ever cast Big positive - lots of framed shots of SJ's fabulous bottom. Oh, and David Harbour, he was excellent"

Sound of Metal was very good. It had very little to do with heavy metal music and a lot to do with a bloke struggling with going deaf.
