"Don’t shoot me but I don’t see the fuss about Alverez? Not consistent gets booked regularly can’t shoot, average passer, and even on internationals not great. Just average for me at present needs to improve."

"Ten Hag had Antony , Kudus & Alvarez when he was Ajax manager. He went and paid £90m for Antony & left the other two On that basis Alvarez should be £120m & Kudus £200m Neither are for sale although understand Kudus has a buyout in summer 2025. Suspect he will go then to a much better team than Man U"

"I suppose if Alvarez did go it would be a classic case of using a club like ours as a stepping stone from Europe to a big PL club. You wouldn't blame him for wanting to go, he wont feel fuck all loyalty to us having only been here for 5 minutes. Wouldn't be too upset if he goes, as long as we get good money for him."

"Man U want Alvarez apparently and he was asked about it and said Edson Alvarez Responds to Reports Linking Him to Man United June 21, 2024 By paulmbanks FacebookTwitterLinkedInPinterestTumblrRedditFarkMySpaceShare edson alvarez Edson Alvarez left Ajax to replace Declan Rice at West Ham United last summer, and his first season in east London was very successful. So much so that he’s now being linked with another move, this time to Manchester United. According to reports, Old Trafford see Alvarez as a potential replacement for Casemiro, who looks likely to depart MUFC this summer. edson-alvarez-mexico The 26-year-old midfielder will captain the Mexico national team tomorrow night in Houston, where it will definitely feel like a home game for them in their Copa America opener against Jamaica. When asked about his club future/the MUFC links, he first gave the industry standard boilerplate, but then left the door slightly ajar. copa america “I can only tell you that I’m focused on what I have to do. I know that the Copa América is a very important tournament where the eyes of the world are basically here,” Alvarez said. “Later there will be time to see what there is or what there isn’t.”"

I see Olise of Palace has decided to join Bayern Understand Eze has a reasonable buy out so is likely to go too Great finish to the season but the RUG likely to be pulled from under them Makes our second game of the season there look a bit more comfortable after getting smashed last season

"Yeah he's made me eat my words also. Our defence is shit. We shouldn't be looking to get of our only bright spark there. If his replacement isn't good enough, then we're stuck with Cresswell who we all know isn't good enough anymore."

Had the impression that Emerson maybe wanted to return to Italy Though is hinted that Loppy is looking for wing backs Must admit wasn’t keen on Emerson coming but he has been excellent especially for £13m Doesn’t appear to be obvious progress on players we have been linked with & others keep being added

"I really don't get the reasoning in selling our best defender. I know I'll get posters who will say he doesn't fit how Lopetegui plays, but if he can't get a dance out a player who's won as much as Emerson has, then I'd be worried."

Carlos Augusto may have played a lot of games for Inter last season but most of them were as a sub for diMarco so he's quite dispensable. If that report is saying he'd cost €20m plus Emerson that seems way too steep for a reserve player seeing as he only cost them €13m this year (including the loan fee).

I can't make heads or tails of that report. About Emerson. it's literally all over the place like our defence last season .

Inter had to sign this guy back in April. (Once they qualified for the Champions League.) Seem's like it's a quick flip for Inter. Or agent BS.? Either way. A Brazilian full back with a name Carlos. Isn't going to get any mere mortal excited. Then nothing in football will.!

"Inter live Emerson Palmieri and 20 million: Milan will be knocked out if Inter accepts West Ham could play the card of the former Italian national team player as a quid pro quo for the Brazilian left back Carlos Augusto (25) deal but a high salary for Inter, Milan observes implications for Theo's heir Although immersed in the new context of the 2024 European Championship in Germany marked by many challenges still to be played for Luciano Spalletti's Azzurri, many struggle to forget the heroic feat of Roberto Mancini's men three years ago who emerged victorious from the top European competition for nations. Among the protagonists of that surprise ride was also Emerson Palmieri as left back, chosen as a replacement for the injured Leonardo Spinazzola. Since then many things have changed in the structure of the Italian team and the Italian-Brazilian is no longer part of the national team, having chosen to concentrate all his energies on the club where he currently plays: West Ham. He did an excellent overall job this season, playing almost all of the Premier League matches as much as possible and also pleasing David Moyes despite the team only finishing in ninth place. Now, however, the footballer's fate would also be linked to the new movements on the bench of the English club: Julian Lopetegui will take over from July 1st and it is probable that the Spaniard will also intend to strengthen himself along the external left lane, exploiting Palmieri's card as a bargaining chip to reach someone who is continually growing in Serie A. This is Carlos Augusto, ready for his second season with Inter and known for being a flexible profile along the entire defensive front. West Ham on Carlos Augusto, also Emerson Palmieri in the deal: Inter's response Emerson Palmieri was however linked to Milan, due to the insistent possibility of Theo Hernandez's farewell which continued to resonate even over the past few days during France's training camp for Euro 2024. In the event that West Ham were to actually take such a hypothesis into consideration, however, it would only leave Milan with the crumbs of a deal that was not carried forward and an adjustment of around 20 million euros would be added to Emerson Palmieri's price tag in the hope of convincing the management Nerazzurri to proceed with the operation. However, Inter would not be interested in such a deal because at the moment the ex-Monza Brazilian is the best that can be offered to Simone Inzaghi in the exchange phase with Federico Dimarco this season. "Nothing new on that score Alf! It's situations like this where our contracts need to be smart. A bit like the inclusion of release clauses after 2 years, which seems like folly but I get it...it sets an expectation with the player....give us 2 good years, and if after that you've performed the big move is open to you. Makes it easier to reject after one year, and clause or not the loss of the player will come if the outperform. It's also where Steidten earns his corn...the model for clubs such as ours will likely always need to be buy low, sell high, rinse repeat...and the DoF's major job is to have the next unpolished gem identified and ready across all positions. If Alvarez were to go, it is what it is. He's not beyond some bad games and his yellow cards have been annoying. I like the player and hope he stays...but we need to recognise he is unlikely to go on and be of 'club legend' status with us anymore than Ajax. He's aspirational, and will want to reach the top."

"Latest is that the Mancs now want Alvarez. Last week it was Kudus. Sure for 60 million plus. Lots of stories about the rich 6 wanting our best players as usual. As if its their devine right and that clubs like West Ham with less resources need to bend over and know their place :-). Same sort of stories about Guehi at Palace after a decent England showing. A new coach in at West Ham who have a healthy FFP standing, players like aforementioned only 1 year into their contracts . Mancs, Pool and the rest can want them all they like but have little leverage other than trying to unsettle them via info to journalists and agents who of course always have a vested interest in their player clients moving and them getting a fee. The barriers via media interest, financial rules etc have created a kind of “closed shop” or cartel at times where only the select few win everything and get the extra money that brings to pull away further from the upstarts like Villa, West Ham even Newcastle or others that might dare try to gatecrash their “club”. Villa got into the top 4 but odds are its a one off. So hard to sustain that and get that extra cash to close the gap. Chelsea, Citeh, Arse, Spuds, Pool and Mancs are desperate to hoover up the best players to keep things as they are. Scouting, recruitment and youth development are the only way for the rest to have a chance along with knowing when to sell a player to maximise profit without damaging the team. Steidten and co at Leverkusen upset the apple cart in the Bundesliga but its going to be much tougher in the Premiership. But early signs are encouraging. Shame Moyes left such a shambles."

"Wolves have to pay Maidenhead 20% of any fee they sell Kilman for, which is one reason why they want top dollar. Would be a huge windfall for Maidenhead."

Nathan Troot has left for £2m. Annoyingly the Kilman rumours aren't going away. The good thing is that Wolves now apparently want £50m. Surely we're not stupid enough to pay that for him?

"Sport Witness West Ham make contact with player’s agent – Hammers will make ‘official offer’ for signing ‘next week’ By Naveen Ullal Last week, Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported West Ham United have included Fenerbahçe’s Jayden Oosterwolde in their target list. Sabuncuoğlu took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to explain that West Ham have asked his agent for recordings of the defender’s performances against Galatasaray last season. The centre-back played the full 90 minutes in both matches and helped Fenerbahçe keep a clean sheet on two occasions against their local rivals. Quite why the Hammers would need to ask for that is unclear, with it presumably available via professional scouting platforms. Tuesday’s edition of Sabah says West Ham will ‘take action’ to sign the 23-year-old in the summer window. The Premier League side have followed the Dutchman, who can also operate as a left-back, for a long time. Oosterwolde’s deal lasts until 2027, and Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç had made it clear the player will only be allowed to leave if there’s an “extraordinary” offer. According to the newspaper, the Yellow Canaries need at least €20m to consider selling the defender this summer. It’s claimed Julen Lopetegui’s side will contact the Istanbul club with an ‘official offer next week’ to sign Oosterwolde. Sabah make no mention of the fee West Ham will propose, and it’s unlikely to be accepted if it’s less than €20m. Jayden Oosterwolde spacer"

"Stubbo 12:59 Mon Jun 17 Have heard the Brazilian run was to tie up the deals for Fabricio Bruno and Guillerme. Bruno was done. Terms were and a few agreed, player wanted move and club wanted to sell. Steidten moved onto Guillerme and was in process when a Saudi club jumped in and turned Bruno's head. He chased the money and bailed out. In the meantime Guillerme got close and Steidten tried to resurrect Bruno deal but was asked to match what Saudi club offered but both Stediten and Sullivan rejected it as it was in excess of £200k per week. Whilst in South America Stediten became aware of the possible availability of Argie CB Neuhen Perez from Udinese. He set up a meeting and we have offered good terms to player and its believed a fee can be agreed as both clubs are in same ball park on player value. As of yet, player has not agreed. That was about five days ago. So no need for Tim to stay out there."
