Would you offer Moyes a new contract?

"With David Moyes contract finishing at the end of the season and we fast approach the half way stage of the season, would you offer Moyes a new contract? (Might be worth doing as a WHO Poll). I personally wouldn’t, interesting to see Potter as huge favourite for our next manager and him turning down other roles (although could be waiting for England). Note Alonso sitting in the second favourite."

"The person to look at is Tim Steidten - if he starts heading for the door, we know Moyes has been offered a new contract and is ready to accept."

"It's only a matter of time before this current version of Moyesball gets found out and we start getting, pardon the pun hammered every week. You can only allow teams 50-60% possession and counter-attack so long and get away with it."

"... and I'm not sure I'd be entertaining the thought of interviewing Potter, let alone offering him the job. We've already got a manager that can spend half a billion and grind out mediocre results."

"""i'd make the decision around xmas time."" I agree. It's far too early in the season to be offering him another deal. I think we've been dreadful in the league this season, even though we've picked up a few results. I've honestly been jealous of watching teams attack us nonstop with us trying to soak it up as much as possible."

"i'd make the decision around xmas time. personally i wouldn't want to give him a new deal, but its a results driven business. if we are top 8 come january its a brave man who doesnt offer him a new deal."

"""You ungrateful lot he wins you a cup and has turned the whole club around to something decent and respectable."" Probably makes as much sense to be grateful to UEFA for coming up with a competition in which we started out as 2nd favourites to win it. This whole idea that he's turned the club around just reminds me of the morons who think that Tevez single handedly saved us from relegation. Newsflash - if Moyes wasn't in charge then we'd have had another manager here, spending £400 million+ on players, possibly winning more things and almost certainly playing better football."

If it was down to me he wouldn't be managing our next game.

"If my main ambition as a chairman was to stay in the Premier league and have the odd run in the cups, absolutely i would be giving Moyes a new contract."

If he were to get Top 4 or win the Europa League I think it would be harsh to deny him the opportunity to manage in the Champions League. I'm really not sure if Graham Potter is the Messiah.

"Who else is out there that could put up with Sullivan? It's all very well saying,..let's get shot of Moyes...but we have hardly had a stellar record in picking up quality managers over the past 20 years. I say give him 2 more years. I'm not a huge fan of the football but it beats getting beaten week in week out."

"I wouldn't, no. Apart from the dire football on offer, there's been a lot of bad transfers with massive losses from sales of players like Vlasic, Anderson, Scamacca and Haller, who he just couldn't work out how to play, and no doubt more of that to come with the likes of Ings and Cornet. Results have been decent enough overall, but no more than should be expected given a club of our size and financial clout, and not enough to compensate for the rubbish football on display for most of his time here. As for Potter, I don't really rate him. His successor at Brighton has improved them massively. In his first season in charge they got 30 more goals than the previous season under Potter. So personally, I would go all out for De Zerbi, and maybe we could actually play the West Ham way for a change. Would cost a fair bit I'm sure but would be worth it, and I reckon he'd come here if none of the bigger clubs go for him first."

"If Moyes can evolve just a little bit i would. But he won't, he will never get the best out of the likes of Paqueta, Kudus. That being said we need to be careful what we wish for."

"I wouldn't - I can understand people that would though. I've never been a fan of his football, although its more his mentality than his football as sometimes it can be really good. I just think he's a negative negative man and doesn't have the ability of will to change. Hopefully we can shake his hand at the end of this season with another trophy and part ways amicably and give him our thanks."

"no, but I think this is a wasted thread as one of sullivan's glove puppets (jim white) was winding up fans about this, this morning. he always uses that creepy jock prick to break news, so expect it to be announced soon"
