Re: Daily Quiz anyone? New month of April thread
"Zico like all quizzes if you know the answers you know the answers and you look smart in that moment. The trouble for me these days is that as a feature of age my more recent memory isn't so good. I have been to nearly every home game this season but I suspect other than win lose or draw I couldn't tell you too many of the score lines. But I also think the games were more memorable back when. Today's football is more predictable not just West Ham but all teams. For example, I can still visualise the Liam Brady goal (unfortunately) I couldn't remember who it was scored against ( so no points there). He cut in a little from the touchline down left attacking the South Bank and stuck it as sweet as into the top right-hand corner. I was in the West Bank and was right behind its flight. A goal that meant nothing by a player who wasn't really West Ham but never to be forgotten. Well I hope not:)"

"easthammer 2:18 Sat Apr 6 There you go East, fabulous score, your knowledge of West Ham is not poor at all, at least a few of us still remember the days pre PL. I hate it now when they bang on about Antonio being the clubs highest ever scorer in the PL despite plenty of players scoring more than he has! It's as if football didn't exist pre PL! I didn't think anyone would get the score for Bobby's testimonial. Wish I had seen him play. I seem to remember for John Lyall's testimonial Ron put out the Cup Final squad a week before the game or something, and in the Lyall years along the lines of 11 players had testimonials. I went to Tony Carr's and Mark Nobles. Great occasions, especially Dean Ashton rising like a salmon to scissor kick volley Ian Bishops cross into the net, then promptly get subbed due to a bad back! Great times."

"I hardly believe this score but I scored 20 Being I was at the Bobby Moore testimonial I picked up the bonus, and I knew the 1964 scorers so 9 points from two questions. Thanks, Zico"
