Saturday football

EVERTON vs MANCHESTER UNITED (1230)
The media have already started getting all excited over this, and specifically over David Moyes. Remember him? One point separates the two sides, and who’d have thought that just a few weeks/months ago? Should be a tight and decent game. Draw.

BOURNEMOUTH vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1500)
The Cherries are within spitting distance (take my word for it) of a Champions League finish while Wolves are within similar distance of an unwanted bottom three spot. Momentum, form and home advantage together point to just one possible outcome. Home win.

ARSENAL vs WEST HAM UNITED (1500)
Don’t know what to say. Paqueta’s joined the non-walking wounded. There’s a stronger sense of by how many than of who. You figure out the rest. Home win.Image

FULHAM vs CRSYTAL PALACE (1500)
Two consecutive wins have put Fulham back on course for now, although Palace can point to three wins in their last six so they’re unlikely to be pushovers. Tight but probably inevitable. Home win.

IPSWICH TOWN vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1500)
Spurs’ last win at Portman Road saw Jurgen Klinsmann score twice in a 3-1 victory. The visitors must be yearning for another Klinsmann to boost their flagging campaign. Away win.

SOUTHAMPTON vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1500)
It must be excruciatingly painful being a Saints supporter these days. There’s really no way to talk up their prospects against any opposition, so let’s just say it as it is. Away win.

ASTON VILLA vs CHELSEA (1730)
Probably the game of the day. It’s been six games since Villa last won a league fixture and this one offers little in the way of hope to remedy that. The visitors have won two, drawn two and lost two in the same period. Hmm. Draw.

SUNDAY

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1400)
Home advantage will tip the balance even against high-flying Forest. Just. Home win.

MANCHESTER CITY vs LIVERPOOL (1630)
The game of the weekend. There’s little to add. Away win.

TUESDAY

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs BOURNEMOUTH (1930)
The south coast is busy. Draw.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs ASTON VILLA (1930)
Hmm, there’s little on form to distinguish these two. Draw.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs FULHAM (1930)
Wolves’ main concern is what lies beneath, lest it be them. Fulham are in the happier position of having to focus on what’s above. Away win.

CHELSEA vs SOUTHAMPTON (2015)
Oh dear. Home win.

WEDNESDAY

BRENTFORD vs EVERTON (1930)
Home win.

MANCHESTER UNITED vs IPSWICH TOWN (1930)
Home win.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs ARSENAL (1930)
Tight one. Away win.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs MANCHESTER CITY (1930)
Away win.

LIVERPOOL vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (2015)
Home win.

THURSDAY

WEST HAM UNITED vs LEICESTER CITY (2000)
Home win.Image

2-0 now.

Amorim will be gone before the end of the season.

Hopefully we can have another bite of the cherry in terms of getting him in, as Potter clearly won’t be here next season.

Mad isn’t it.
they don’t play anything like how he made us play. Is this Irvines doing?

also, Man Utd are absolutely gash. I don’t think Amorim is going to survive this. I don’t see anything in this team. Why is it’s so bad there?

It has to be Irvine. That is all I can think. Either that or their squad is significantly better than ours was at playing this way but again he’s the one that assembled our squad. If he’d have set us up like this then most of us would have been perfectly happy.
He did have us playing like this. We finished 6th, 7th and won us a European trophy.

Our fans are just impatient and have short memories. Was the same with John Lyall.
Rotten bait. Give it up weirdo.

Arsenal will try to win with minimum of ease so I can see us scoring first but losing.

I have a feeling that Arsenal & Liverpool won't both pick up 6 pts over the two GWs.

I can only pray, we impact that outcome.

IsMexMorning Coffee

I'll start the match thread here as Stubbo is having trouble in that department.

I agree difficult to see anything other than a loss today for the happy hammers. But having said that I feel we have returned to the days when no one turns up for the bread and butter games against teams around us, like Brentford last week and everyone gives a 150% against the better sides. Hope it goes like that and we gets some good entertainment and feel a bit of pride.

Yes, injury list is now Antonio, Fullkrug, Summerville, Paqueta and Coufal OUT. I think Potter needs to go back to 3 at the back.

Areola
Mavropanos, Kilman, Cresswell
Wan Bissaka, Alvarez, Soucek, Scarles
Bowen, Ferguson, Kudus
Apologies for the delay...been a busy week...but it's up now.

I honestly think we're going to nick a point

If we don't then the pressure's on on Thursday when we face a Leicester side who have now lost 6 on the bounce at home without scoring

Thanks Coffers 👍

Our game is obviously the main focus, and you would have to be stark raving bonkers to think it will end in anything but a good home win! So on that basis I’m going for a famous West Ham against the odds win 0-1 and they can’t hit a barn door🤷‍♂️😆 You know it makes sense 😬

The weekend wankfrst is going to be at the Etihad of course, actually think Pep will win this one? Let’s just hope we do enough to stop those entitled cunts from North London making up ground on the Scouse.

Will enjoy the others as the neutral, we ain’t going down or getting a European spot so results don’t really matter.
