"GFF Manchester United join Liverpool and West Ham United in the race for RB Salzburg’s Oumar Solet With his contract due to expire in the summer of 2025, Oumar Solet (24) is one player to keep an eye on this summer, as RB Salzburg will look to cash in on the French centre-back, who is on the look for a new challenge this summer. Four years after leaving Olympique Lyonnais, where he almost never got a chance to prove his worth, Solet is ready to step up and take his career to the next level. Being 24, the former French U20 international hasn’t been called up by Thierry Henry for the upcoming Olympics, but doesn’t need that to attract the interest of a lot of suitors. After having been close to join RC Lens & Napoli last winter, the Sang & Or came back last month, seeing the Salzburg centre-back as the perfect heir to Kevin Danso. However, a deal sounds less and less likely as they are facing fierce competition to sign the centre-back. After having attracted interest from Premier League outfits West Ham United and Liverpool in the last few months, it’s another European giants that are targeting him. Having informed his clubs of his willingness to leave the club this summer, Solet might be attracted by Champions League football. According to a report from RMC Sport, Bundesliga champion Bayer Leverkusen, surprising second-ranked Stuttgart, and Champions League finalist Borussia Dortmund are all tracking the French centre-back with a view to a move this summer. Bundesliga is often the easy choice for Austrian league’s players. However, Solet is tempted by the Premier League, while Manchester United has added him to their shortlist. The French outlet adds that another Premier League club has shown interest, while its identity didn’t leak. Salzburg is expected to allow Solet to leave should they receive an offer between €12M and €15M."

"Oh look Stubbo shows the first sign of a little dribble of piss down his leg even though we've already signed an exciting player and are actively scouring the world for players to bring in. Old habits die hard, clearly. Relax you big hairy fanny."

All the talk that the Scarf was still in Brazil while Guilerme flew over to sign and do medical by the so called ITKs....total horse shit. He can be see clearly in the official site videos/photos with Guilerme at Rush Green. Supposedly Lopetegui wanted 4 signing done by 1st July. Tick Tock on that score.

"Caught Offside West Ham among Premier League clubs monitoring 18-year-old German talent West Ham are interested in signing Hertha Berlin’s Ibrahim Maza this summer as several Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation of the 18-year-old talent. This season has been a tough one for the midfielder as the German star has missed the majority of the campaign through injury. Maza injured his meniscus during the summer of 2023 and that setback kept him out of action until February of this year, but the 18-year-old worked his way back into the Hertha starting 11 upon his return. Maza featured in 13 league games for Hertha Berlin this term, scoring one goal and assisting a further two as Die Alte Dame endured another tough season in the German second division. The attacking midfielder seems to have attracted interest from across Europe as sources have told CaughtOffside that Brighton, West Ham, Brentford, Leicester City, RB Leipzig, Augsburg and Union Berlin are all interested in Hertha Berlin’s 18-year-old talent. Brighton, West Ham and Leicester have all had scouts watch Maza on several occasions in 2024 as they consider making a move for the German star during the summer transfer window. Hertha Berlin open to selling West Ham target Ibrahim Maza Sources have told CaughtOffside that Hertha Berlin expect the Premier League clubs to test the water regarding Maza very soon with offers in the region of €10m. The German club are open to selling the 18-year-old during the transfer window, but it is not known how much they are willing to accept to part ways with the midfield talent. Maza has shown promise so far in his short career and should the asking price be reasonable, the Premier League clubs should have no problem matching it if they really want the player."

"Sport Witness West Ham have ‘every intention of closing’ deal – Hammers assisted in negotiations By Lucas Sposito West Ham’s chase for Juventus winger Matias Soulé is getting some strong updates from the Italian media. Earlier this week, it had already been claimed that the Hammers are in touch with the player’s agents, while it was made it clear it’s them who lead the race for the signing. Outlet Calcio Mercato now shows up with a fresh story on this pursuit, claiming that West Ham started initial contacts with Soulé’s entourage. It’s claimed that the Hammers already told Juventus about their desire to come up with an official bid, as they have ‘every intention of closing’ the deal. The Bianconeri are said to be in a ‘hurry’ to get the sale done as well, and that’s why Calcio Mercato says there are all the conditions in place ‘to go to checkers’ already. Still, the website makes it clear that Juventus are looking to make between €35m and €40m with the sale, so we should wait and see if West Ham will actually show up with that amount. Since the Hammers are apparently well-informed about all conditions to get a deal done, that seems to be the only step left."

"Sport Witness West Ham ‘intend’ to return with improved bid for signing – Club ‘signalling positively’ to agree deal with Hammers By Naveen Ullal Over the past two months or so, we covered multiple claims from Brazil discussing West Ham United’s interest in Wesley Gassova. On May 4th, UOL reported that the Hammers’ €15m bid didn’t satisfy Corinthians. Later that month, Corinthians manager António Oliveira said he’s worried about losing the 19-year-old to West Ham. Oliveira’s fear may come true if a fresh report from Goal in Brazil is to be believed. They point out the €15m bid tabled by West Ham earlier, and add that it was turned down by Corinthians president Augusto Melo. The Brazilian club are requesting €30m for the youngster, a figure the London club are not willing to meet. According to the report, Julen Lopetegui’s side ‘intend to increase’ their offer from €15m to over €20m including bonuses. It’s claimed the Premier League side want to secure a deal, and Corinthians are ‘signalling positively’, suggesting they may reach an agreement for Wesley’s transfer this summer. The report adds that Corinthians only want to allow the player to leave in January 2025, and West Ham are likely to agree to this condition. Wesley has scored five goals and registered three assists from 29 games this year."

Have heard good things about Junior (Carl) Robinson as a RB/RWB Is 20 but had an injury in his first year as a pro but has just signed a new contract Might be an alternative that puts more pressure on Johnson

"Why are we going to pay Johnson, essentially a utility player, more than we pay our current first choice right back? When's he ever getting any game time?"

"Biggest problem with Johnson fir me ( only my opinion ) is poor technique. Passing mostly and not the most comfortable on the ball. Strength is good, pace / speed ok although not super quick but hus distribution and crosses, as mentioned, not up to scratch consistently. Maybe in a strict role he could be more effective or Loppy thinks he can improve that aspect of his game? Time will tell but ideally we would have better than him and Coufal at RB / RWB longer term?"

Looks that way Massive. Strength on the ball and speed are 2 big reasons why Kudus has been so successful in his first season in the Prem so seems a good profile for players.

Johnson's career has stalled and then gone backwards over the last two seasons. He has time to develop under a new manager but I'd be looking for a quick turnaround and to move him on if that doesnt occur

Johnson is underrated. I'll be very happy if he agrees to stay and work under Lopetegui now.

Arias Omorodion Kilman Oosterwolde Guilherme Miguel All either like shit off a shovel quick or built like brick shithouses with a touch of flair sprinkled in. Get most of these, I can see them complimenting equally strong and/or quick lads like Bowen, Kudus, Antonio, Alvarez, Areola."

"Johnson is a full back who is poor defensively and has one assist in his senior career, so cannot be argued to be a good attacking full/wing back either. Always looked better on the left for me, which is unusual for a right footed player, but still nowhere near good enough. Like everyone else, I hoped he would be, but he isn’t. Coufal on the other hand received plenty of criticism, yet is far better defensively if a bit slower, and has 20 assists in his West Ham career. I’d still like to see him upgraded for what it’s worth, but if it were a straight choice between those two for who I would rather start the season at right back, it’s him hands down. Oh, and whatever people thought of Johnson’s centre midfield cameo’s, he is not and never will be capable of playing there."

"TBR West Ham want to sign ‘complete full-back’ likened to Lucas Hernandez West Ham United have already got their first signing of the summer on board, bringing Luis Guilherme to the London Stadium from Palmeiras. However, the Hammers aren’t expected to stop there, and there’s a good chance we will see some more incomings – and some outgoings – in the coming weeks. West Ham will be eager to give new boss Julen Lopetegui what he needs to ensure the club can bounce back after a somewhat underwhelming season. Now, it looks as though the Hammers have set their sights on a defender who has been deemed a “complete full-back”. According to Sports Digitale journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu’s X account, West Ham have set their sights on Fenerbahce defender Jayden Oosterwolde. The report, posting an exclusive, claimed that the Hammers are “monitoring the situation” of the 23-year-old Dutchman. Who is West Ham target Jayden Oosterwolde? Oosterwolde came through the ranks at FC Twente before linking up with Italian side Parma, initially on loan and then permanently. He then signed for Fenerbahce in January 2023 in a deal reportedly worth around £5million, and he has made a name for himself in the Superlig. Oosterwolde has made 48 appearances for Fenerbahce, also getting on the scoresheet twice. “Oosterwolde is a modern defender,” Jose Blakborn, his agent, told Si Gonfia la Rete earlier this year amid reports claiming Inter Milan had made a bid for him. “He’s extremely physically strong and very fast. He has played as a left-back with great offensive propensity. He has drive, strength, and quality. “I am in close contact, obviously, with Fenerbahce, who have outlined three options for my client. A Spanish option, an English one, and staying here.” Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig described Oosterwolde in 2020 as a “complete full-back”, likened him to Lucas Hernandez, and game him a potential rating of 8.5 out of 10. Oosterwolde looks like a good shout for West Ham, so let’s see whether we get any further developments on this front in the coming weeks. Oosterwolde spacer"
