"Been through bad time lately with suffering with this. Dark thoughts as well. I know some posters on here suffer with this. Anyone come through the other side of this shit?
"A number of posters have been yellow carded and told to stay off this thread unless they have anything constructive to add. This is a thread that has been very useful to so many, for any other posters with scores to settle, argue on another thread. This thread is sacrosant.Thank you"

"Oh god I can't remember the last one my GP gave me but it was a common one and had nausea, lack of appetite whole range of side effects which is odd because I'm on plenty of meds and cope with them. I'll probably just plough through without them. Don't think happy pills will work in the current climate anyway!! On a positive note since coming off the meds the RLS seems to have stopped!"

"I get bad circulation and restless legs due to meds. For those in the Mental know, done through the Army a full on lengthy psychological testing last year. GAD/7 Scored 21 PHQ/9 Scored 27 PTSD - DSM-5 Scored 66 Boring but true. However, The Psychopath Test: A Journey Through the Madness Industry by Jon Ronson is a brilliant read about the mind. Excellent book."

Restless legs can be a side effect. Try some hypnotherapy on YouTube Michael Seally or 8 hour guided sleep hypnosis

"Well to lift the mood the Doc put me on some pills a few weeks ago but all they did was ruin the appetite and give dreadful heartburn! Tried some mirtazapine and haven't slept in two nights due to bloody restless leg syndrome which is an absolute bastard, one weird bloody sensation! So coming off those buggers. Can only be the pills I assume. Any others on meds with dodgy side effects?"

"Norman this thread is about Anxiety and Depression not where you are taking your Girlfriend on Holiday this Easter. Please get to TILS https://www.veteransservicelse.nhs.uk/ They specialise in veterans with drink, drug, mental, ptsd and even anger management problems including mental keyboard warriors who think their keyboard is a chainsaw. down syndrome niece?.. Ex squaddie?.. Amongst the rest. I don't find it funny at all that some utter coward cunts on here have overstepped the mark. I don't know who you are personally yet.. My niece is called Ava and she is 9 yrs old.. She doing very well. She off to euro Disney in May with Orchid. She's the most precious person in my life bar none. You want to take the piss out of me...thats fine.. but you carry on with this I will nail your balls to a dart board..

"No one likes a Bully. Back to thread, bought a second copy of Reasons to stay Alive. Despite good , very good read. The fella was blessed to have his Mrs by him through out his battle , nice villa in Ibiza and supportive family. Makes one realise how much more tougher it must be when you feel completely alone or are completely alone. Also shows whatever walk of life you are, lucky or unlucky, rich or poor - depression takes no prisoners. A celebrity drops dead and the news stops and world mourns, 22 veterans take their lives daily no one bats an eyelid."

"Block, Honestly not looking for a row, What Alfs Barnet , West Ham 67, Defjam, Eddie Bs Family, Piggys family, myself 3 funerals in 2 years due to suicide, and even what the OP was going through, and even maybe Norman must have seen some heavy shit when serving and although not depressed himself there should be some empathy. But Block it is far from cringe worthy. Even though you are digging out celebs * coming out * of which I just see people and greed using whatever to get money for interviews and champion a charity. But people sharing experiences on here, or some calling this mumsnet or others snowflakes etc, no this thread out of respect to suicides of good young WHO posters deserves to run and run on positive input, or the opportunity to share dark experiences and how bounced back. I just wish and hope those who find this thread cringe worthy do not contribute."

"He must be thoroughly confused by this thread though. He keeps trying to rile people up by calling them softies, and they keep wishing him well in return. Wouldn't have behaved like that back in the good old, tough old forces eh? :)"
