"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"

Finished the final season of Peaky Blinders. Has it gone downhill? Yep. Is it still better than a lot of stuff on TV? Yep. Film due out in 2024.

"Finished 1883. Though I enjoyed it to some extent, I did find it rather ponderous and over poetic. I far preferred Yellowstone."

Amputee Actor 11:47 Sun Jul 10 Many people who have binged have said the same thing. It was different for us who had to wait 2 years for THAT final season. The worst for me was the love scene between Arya and Gendry

"OK, it's a fair comment about the length of investment. But overall I was pleased with how it ended for everybody. The only character I disliked (actually it was more of loathing) was Ygritte. Terrible actress."

Amputee Actor 11:47 Ah but don’t forget you had had your expectations sufficiently lowered. Also you hadn’t been invested in the show for several years like a lot of viewers. The disappointment is always far less in those circumstances. In truth it turned shit from the moment they ran out of source material. There’s a noticeable drop in storytelling from the moment the books end.

It either rushed or ruined every character arc in it. Completely fluffed the landing.

"I finally got round to watching Game of Thrones, which I binged on over the last couple of weeks and finished last night. Aware of the wailing, teeth-gnashing and general hullabaloo around its last series and ending, I braced myself for crushing disappointment. Instead, I loved it. What on earth were you ninnies moaning about?"

Black Bird first two episodes have been superb. Ray Liotta's last acting role. Available on Apple TV and of course Cinema HD and Kodi.

"Claret, Agree, 1883 is just excellent TV. Better than Yellowstone in my opinion (and I really like Yellowstone)"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the first ep of Freddie Flintoff trying to get a load of Preston kids into cricket, none of whom had picked up a cricket bat in their lives - as it's a posh people's game. On BBC iPlayer."

"Anyone watched For All Mankind on Apple TV? I had been quite enjoying the first season and some of the second, before it descended into an extremely unsubtle lecture about how all women are brilliant and strong and brave and clever, and better than all men who are stupid and weak and cowardly and flawed."

"Yep, I agree with a lot of that Nagel. They made a big thing about Chrissie Hynde’s involvement. They could just as easily had Shane McGowen in it and making a thing of him being inspired to make punk Irish rebel songs. It would have been equally as irrelevant but he wasn’t as good looking and didn’t shag Steve Jones. I still watched it though. It was mildly entertaining in a car crash sort of way"

"Only saw the first couple of episodes of Pistol. Awful writing, terrible casting, poor directing. The bloke playing Malcolm McLaren looked about the same age as the one playing Steve Jones. In real life he was 10 years older. For some reason Chrissie Hynde was a major character. Quite a lot of blatantly made up bollocks in it. Lonely Boy is a good book, but it seems to have been very freely adapted, to put it politely, and was written by an Australian who'd previously written stuff like Strictly Ballroom and Moulin Rouge. He clearly knew fuck all about what he was writing about. Danny Boyle is a great director but his work here was shit too."
