Woke watch

"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

I don't know how many of these shirts are actually produced but the number of sales regardless of the cost usually depends on how far England progress. Once we reached the quarters of the euros you coudnt fund one in the shops for live nor money and even the training tops had sold out. In the club where I watched most people of all ages wore the retro ones which are normally reproduced at around £40 I pity he poor parents being asked to fork for these and other kits which are shamefully overpriced. There is also only so much you can restyle on a plain white shirt so all a bit of a waste of time and money buying a new on anyway. Maybe Gareth will appear in a red and white waistcoat to redress the balance.

"Well, the CofE do playful updates all the time. Thery see themselves as intrinsically progressive. Unlike conservative religions. This is the woke thread isn't it?"

Branded Re: Woke watch A playful look update of the Koran would be welcome. Branded even for you that's an impressive attempt to bring in Muslims to something that has nothing to do with Muslims. A+ for your work there. Really.

Blatant attempt to gouge fans for money as ever. Pillocks will still buy it for some reason.

I'm delighted to see them charge £125 for the top. I reckon I'll bring back about 30 of these on my next trip to Asia to sell just before the Euros.

I’ll be exacting revenge by wearing a “playful update” on Nike’s kit…by wearing West Ham’s Adidas shirt from 1981.

The question for e about the away kit is what on earth does purple have top do with England? I know it's a royal colour but that's about it.

The little flag was probably wokegates idea. What does it represent? Looks different to the gay flag so am guessing it’s the black man flag?

Someone posted a photo of a kit Nike made for Brazil where they did something similar with their flag. So it's not unprecedented. I don't particularly think it's a good idea but at the same time I don't really care that much.

"Nike have done, what they call, a ""playful update"" to the flag of St. George which appears on the collar of the new England shirt. Apparently to unite and inspire."

"Smashie & Nicey apologise for ripping Tony Blackburn The character of Mike Smash played by Paul Whitehouse in TV comedy Smashie and Nicey was loosely based on Tony Blackburn. In one scene a heartbroken Smash repeatedly plays Bobby Goldsboro’s Honey on air while pleading for his wife ‘Tessa’ to come back to him. Blackburn had been married to the actress Tessa Wyatt, who left him in 1976. Distraught at the break-up, he played Chicago’s If You Leave Me Now over and over on his BBC Radio 1 show. Harry Enfield, Whitehouse’s co-star playing DJ Dave Nice, later disowned the sketch - part of the ‘rockumentary’ The End of an Era. Enfield said: ‘This was a ‘satire’ of Tony Blackburn’s marriage break-up, if you can call it satire. ‘It was in fact cheap and cruel, and Mr Blackburn, who’s never harmed anyone, didn’t deserve his private life to be mocked. ‘I am deeply ashamed of this sketch, as is Paul.’"
