I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cÕ½nt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

Wanting Lopetegui sacked if we beat both Newcastle and Arsenal and be on 18 points..
Thats up there with Pellegrini deciding he wanted Roberto rather than FabianskiÂ
Â
Which never happened.Â

Only saw a brief bit of Amorims press conference but have seen all of Loopy’s pre & post match utterancesÂ
Was reported that Sullivan was impressed with him & was unsure about Amorim
Thats up there with Pellegrini deciding he wanted Roberto rather than FabianskiÂ
The players have given up on him shown by AWB’s teapot stance when subbed v Everton
He is inevitably goingÂ
Just means we have to endure heavy defeats by Newcastle & Arsenal first

Why is it that every time I watch Lop at his press conferences he appears shifty eyed and full of self doubt? I simply cannot see him being there much longer. It begs the question I've posed on here on numerous occasions - what was it that Sullivan saw in him that no one else can see. Was it his track record of achievement, the fact that he oozes confidence or his impressive handling of questions demonstrating exemplary knowledge of the game? I'd dearly love to know.

There are a multitude of mistakes that have and are been made. A cluster fvck as its sometimes referred to.
Biggest 2 are the tactics if high line, advanced wing backs ate slow, patient build up. Add petrol to the fire is Lops choice of Rodders and Soler, to bolster the central midfield to play the above tactics in the Premiership, a league he supposedly knew so well, beggars belief.
Pedestrian, walking football played by the oldest squad in the league. This particular area if properly recruited for would make an enormous difference. The players know as a team we cannot live with the pace of counyer attack teams in this division. I saw a clip of Lop barking out orders to push the team up higher and the back 3 or 4. Players totally ignored it. Back in the victorian era when I played, if we were up against a quicker team we always naturally sat in shape, compact and deeper. Amateurs know it, Its so obvious.
Lop has mostly managed in divisions where there are 3 or 4 good teams and then the rest. Wolves was arguably the exception. He like the players he asked for ( Rodders, Soler ) not fit for purpose unfortunatly.
But rather than doing the right thing, Sullivan will act far too late because of his ego and pride.

I can never understand a word the cÕ½nt says.
His postmatch speil Saturday was completely unfathomable I wound it back and put the subtitles on.
They even gave up after the first sentence

Based on his press conference I doubt. The players would understand much of his instructions…
Limited English…strange accent and very basic vocabulary…
Word Salad…
However poor his English is, it was good enough to persuade Sullivan that he was the best choice for West Ham. There is incompetence and then there is sheer stupidity!

My own thoughts on Loppy
Its pretty tragic isn't it. Such a poor way of managing pressure. Look at others. That was Moyes tactic. Don't look at me, look at what West Ham's history. Look at other teams struggling. Look at how hard it is for everyone. Deflect. Deflect. Deflect.Â
What is his point? That somehow it is acceptable for us to play such poor football and only have twelve points because others are also? And who are these other teams 3 or 4 points ahead of us who everyone is saying are fantastic? Man Utd on 15. Oh yes, everyone is saying how fantastic they have been. Bournemouth on 15, yes they have been OK but fantastic? And it's Bournemouth for fuck sake, an average gate of about 10,000. Brentford on 15 points. Fantastic is not what I would describe Brentford, pragmatic and hard to beat, yes. Spurs on 16 points. I bet the scum are well pleased with this season.
Just makes me sick. Own it. Don't deflect.Â

I get the feeling that Lop will do what Moyes did last season i.e scrape wins in his must win games to keep his head above water. Lose tomorrow with Toon and Arse up next he could be gone before you're watching the snowman on channel 4.
I still think we've got him until the end of the season.
Hopefully.

Everton go above us if they win, meaning we'll be 15th (or 16th depending on how Leicester get on) in the table.
I wonder if the "I'll sack you on the cheap because you're shit" clause kicks in at 15th place or below, if that's the case?
I still think we've got him until the end of the season.

West Ham will review Julen Lopetegui’s position if they lose at home to Everton on Saturday. Although the hope is that the manager will turn the situation around, he is under increasing pressure after a poor start and another setback would leave him hanging by a thread.
This is the longest we haven't kept a clean sheet at home for 60 (SIXTY) years.
And I'm being told our defence is getting better?

There was talk of Emerson going back to Italy in the summer and he doesnt look as switched on this season
Suspect he will be off soon especially if his Brazilian mate gets a life ban
Saw talk a while back that we might be interested in Ben Chilwell who has been sidelined at Chelsea
Personally Id like to see Scarles get a run out
Whoever the manager is I'd be looking to bring Earthy and Potts back from their loans if possible and add them to the squad
They cant be any worse than the current lot
