the exile 2:53 Tue Oct 3 I cant see him starting with no centre forward. Even Moyes isnt that negative. All the faves will surely play.

"Moyes tends to do something a bit different in these games so I reckon he'll start with Antonio on the bench and Kudus up front or as a false 9. Apart from that maybe just a bit of tinkering, like Kehrer in for Coufal."

Would not surprise me if he only changed Fabianski and maybe Kudus. I know we've got a game on Sunday but after that an international break (for some) where we can manage the teams fitness and recovery.

I recon we’ll have a huge eye on the Newcastle game so will play out a dull defensive for the half and add a little flair for the win.

"I fully expect and hope we start with our best side in our hardest group game, to expect to be turning over teams at this level with our reserves is a little bit too arrogant, the sort of thing you'd expect from clubs not taking this competition seriously enough and overrating their abilities. They dont look like an amazing side, but they're solid and at home and will see a result against as their ticket to the next round, they'll be playing their best side for sure. Soucek is a shoo-in for this one, has been decent this season - Freiburg are great from set pieces so his height will be useful as well as offensively where Freiburg dont look the biggest team he'll trouble them in their box from JWPs magical deliveries. Plus three fucking goals this season already. Bowen is in the form of his life, undroppable, Alverez is experienced and possibly our best player now and Paqueta is still Paqueta even if Moyes insists on wasting him out on the left. I dont see where Kudus gets in, he's certainly given the squad a kick up the arse albeit a fucking expensive one."

That's probably the best we could expect Dr Matt. But we all know he'll play Bowen instead of Kudus and stick with Antonio up top.

daveyg - I hold my hands up… I didn’t know that fact. I shall thank my lucky stars that I’m not in charge of team travel arrangements otherwise it could have got very messy.

Ludo Showing your lack of knowledge again. Teams have to present in the home teams country the night before to avoid any of the delays you mentioned.

"Agree. Surely nothing other than strongest team available for this. Biggest group game and best chance to really put a stranglehold on the group and rest players around that busy pre Christmas schedule if we can wrap up the top spot 1-2 games early. It's just a shame we don't play them again until last, assuming they win every other fixture. We have a pretty brutal run of 7 games in 22 days after the international break including the meat of this group and a lot of important league fixtures."

"Probably our most difficult fixture so yes, strong team. I expect Kehrer, Dinos and Ogbonna tp play. Kudus will play so one of the midfield will be rested. I wouldn't be surprised if Bowen & Paqueta are on the bench with Kudus right wing and Benrahma left. Fab Kehrer Dinos Ogbonna Emerson Alvarez Soucek Kudus JWP Benrahma Antonio"

I believe EUFA insists that the away team for all European games are in the country/city 24 hours before kickoff.

"We wont fly into Freiburg Aerodrome, we'll fly into Basel/Mulhouse which is only 30 miles away anyway. No way will we fly on the day though... it's a 5.45 kick off and hour ahead!!"
