What in all the combined experience with west ham over the years makes you think that ditching our statistically most successful manager in club history to replace him with someone that plays more entertaining football is going to go well for us?

I strongly suspect if he gets a new deal . He'd have to agree to steitden bringing in the players ? . Will he . As usual with this club too many are jumping the gun . If he has any sense he'd look at kudus Alvarez and mavropannos. And trust steitdens judgement.

So many words

"Not much in life is binary / black or white. I still just sit on the Moyes out side of the fence but hedge that on the hope that a relationship ( not that kind of one :-) ) with Steidten, working as a team, can counteract or compromise on some of Moyes intransigence or stubbornness. It’s sometimes seen as a strength to stick with your ways, methods etc. but 20 years on even Moyes has the intelligence to know he doesn’t know everything. And seeing that recruitment is now a big differentiator ( example Brighton punching well above their financial standing ) and developing a footballing philosophy and strategy for longer term success is also critical. Steidten being brought in has the potential to get us to the proverbial next level if Moyes will work with him. Moyes knows his to organise a defence and play on the counter ( Moyesball) and there have been improvements in our passing but not enough emphasis on it and using g a squad across multiple competitions. Is Moyes insecure or a bit of a moral coward and avoids confrontation with players wanting more game time or favouring those that are “Brown nosers”. 46 years working life showed that was often the case in businesses that underperformed. Weak management , lack of emotional fortitude, poor relationship and communication skills. That might be Moyes limitations if some rumours are to be believed? So Steidten can hopefully get him to focus on the hands on coaching, tactical side, fitness and training and leave the soft skills to others ? Don’t know Moyes so who knows if it’s possible. If he is mellowing a bit with age, seen that Steidten and his new coaches like Hertinga can be trusted, it might just mean we can progress with him? As things stand, he’s done a decent job but the squad is unbalanced, lacks quality in depth and not used ( is that why or does it lack quality because players outside the favoured 14 are demotivated, not match fit due to lack of minutes). Moyes needs to change at least a bit and compromise to really survive and take us further otherwise the Conference win was the peak already. Can he develop the way we play with better players ? Will he drop the weak links his favourites ? I have my doubts but hope he does to safe him from himself Btw, those of you who’ve read this far and have your head in a noose, shotgun in ur mouth, apologies as always for my affliction of using 50 words when one will do and repeating myself day in day out . It will end once the Moyes renewal is decided. So there’s hope for u all :-)"

Moyes is just about one of the most successful West Ham managers. How you like it is subjective as we all know.

I suspect that Sullivan’s meeting with Moyes in January isn’t to automatically renew Moyes contract. I reckon Moyes will be told that the new role is to be head coach reporting to Steidten. The question is whether Moyes will find that acceptable after having full control of clubs for all his working life as a manager. I suspect Moyes will not find that acceptable…

The point being buried under the Moyes Front’s word humous is very simple: we need a manager whose preferred approach is our best approach. In Moyes’s case the two are all to often at odds with each other and that’s unlikely ever to change.
