Kudus is a waste of time, all about himself, never looking to set someone up.

I think we can rope a dope them a bit and let them wear themselves out.
We have three big centre backs in there for all the crossing they are doing, good picks for the situation.

So far this is very much highlighting the shit Potter has to work with. Mavropanos awful, Paqueta can't stand up, Kudus running down blind alleys, Soucek can't control a simple pass, Emerson poor. Unfortunately AWB not having one of his better games so far, which highlights how important he's become to us

Yep. Aside that chance for Bowen it has mainly been played in our own half. We do look threatening on the one or two occasions we got it forward so far.

The only certainty about this game is that mass of know nothing scum in their terraces will call for handball every time the ball goes near a West Ham player.

Rotations in some positions partially due to having a game only 4-5 days back? Mavropanos always a worry of a pen, free kick, stray pass or dispossessed but suppose, as said, its about combating their physicality and aerial strength?
Soucek same reason I guess but he needs more than 8 touches this game.
Not seeing how we compete in centre mid again so not sure how Bowen and Kudus get much service.
Just want this season over really

Another unforgivable lineup.
Potter out if we lose this.

Predicting that Garner will be screaming and throwing himself on the floor at every opportunity. Got to keep our cool, and maybe that’s another reason Alvarez is not starting.

West Ham United: Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Kilman, Mavropanos, Emerson, Paquetá, Souček, Ward-Prowse, Bowen ©, Kudus
Subs: Fabiański (GK), Scarles, Cresswell, Álvarez, Soler, Rodríguez, Luis Guilherme, Ferguson, Ings
Mav probably there for the physicality. Cresswell would likely get a bit bullied especially at set pieces by their lumps. It may also indicate Todibo is ready for the full 90.
Looks like he's prepared for a physical assault on the backline. Might be somewhat more space for the midfield to operate here and set Bowen and Kudus away. Wonder who is the nominal forward.

Scarles and Alvarez were very poor last week. I thought Alvarez in particular was awful - trying passes and skill that he hasn’t really got the game for. Good to see Potter has made changes rather than kept persevering. Fingers crossed it’ll work out and be of benefit to the squad overall - i.e. everyone will get a chance.

Decent side, Mavropanos starting worries me.
Yes, looks decent. Glad it's a bit less defensive.
Yes, probably Scarkes and Cresswell are age related, needing less games.
